I found Alexandra's tantrum to get the judges exactly the same last Saturday.

To moaned and whined to everybody on the show and behind the scenes until she got them to say she was unique. Anybody could see there was something up when they said a copy cat performance of an Aguilera song and video was unique.

I agree that Alexandra's tantrum was annoying. she does come across really nice, but her candyman was clearly a copy of christina.I couldnt believe it when Simon called her original and was still goin on about her performance after the break,i think he sed it 2 make her feel better cos she's not individual like diana and laura.aww he does have a heart.
With regards to Rachel, when she went thru lst wk, at least she didn't do that dance or say what, what ,what. It annoys me so much when she does that.
They both can sing tho.

Rachel is talented but her attitude isn't doing her any favours. Worst part is she's ignorant of it as well. My dad thinks if she somehow won anyway she wouldn't last long as she seems like the type to argue and disagree with managers and that. She always has an opinion of her own and it may be her downfall!!

But at least she's honest.

They didn't say it was a tantrum but they did show her moaning to everybody on the show behind the scenes. They just said she was "upset" but it was a huge tantrum saying "Diana and Laura are told they are unique, why aren't I?"

Then she got those comments for the candyman performance which was a total copy of somebody else.

to be honest i'v never seen no 'bad attitude' with her on the liveshows only in bootcamp with simon, but i do think she's a nightmare to work with
but i think had simon bn her mentor he could have done a lot more for her than danni (even through i think dannis a good mentor)

She doesn't seem any more desperate then any of the others.

They are all desperate to win. This is their dream on the line. I'm not sure why a few people use this as a negative criticism of a contestant. Now if someone is ruthless in their desperation then that is something to be criticised.

I wouldn't say it was badmouthing at all.

It was a tantrum. To say "They get called unique, so why can't I", is pretty much a spoilt tantrum.

It's not like she got bad comments, she got good comments. It's just she didn't get the same comments as others and then moaned to everyone about it. We saw this on the video, behind the scenes and during rehearsals and while she was with Yvie and Brian.

I also think Rachel gets very arrogant on the show as well and also complains when things aren't going her way. She has been blaming Dannii up until this week.

You weren't there so how can you possibly know what happened? You are basing this on what the judges said and a short edited VT. You've quoted something that hasn't been said so where is the logic behind your argument? She wanted to know why she was getting those kind of comments. And she was upset because she thought she'd given a good performance. Not exactly tantrum material if you ask me.

Personally I think it was unfair of Simon. Because all of the other contestants have been copying other people's styles. It does seem a little unfair to just pick up Alex on it.

But we saw all of this in the VT and we heard all of this in the VT as well. We can only base things on what we say and here - it's unfair to everyone to say that editing may have made it look like that. You are saying it wasn't said but it was, I can upload the video for you to see this.

The difference is that the editing was done to make it look like she was upset but to a more discerning eye she was really moaning about comments others got that they were unique. We heard that and we saw that. If you moan to everybody and state other peoples names and say why not me - it is a tantrum. You say it to one friend, it's just confiding in somebody - you are upset. If you say it to numerous people, your mentor, the creative director, the vocal coach then it is a tantrum. You're not letting it go.

We all saw this on the video as well. We all heard what she said. These parts are undeniable so carry a great deal of weight in terms of logic and behaviour and comparative nature to other contestants. How did Ruth and Daniel behave when they were in the bottom two? Others get far worse comments but they just dust themselves off...

I don't think it is unfair from anybody. She did copy a routine and the song was very minimally cut down in terms of lyrics. I feel she has ridden the back of coming back after 3 years but she hasn't really delivered like many other contestants have week on week.

I don't see why Rachel should be out next! We haven't seen the best of her yet!

I dont care about the bad attitude or if she is full of herself ( which I dont think she is) because at the end of the day you dont here that when you put a CD on.

To me after hearing some songs she done before X factor I would like to hear a album of her work.

I've realised that on this show you can see someone and they are presented really well and you want to see more of them. Later, this can begin to wear off. It gives me the impression that you can portray someone as absolutely brilliant then suddenly when it comes to the crunch it starts to fade.

Rachel's voice is (which is all we really can base this on, besides attitude) really losing it for me. Maybe her attitude doesn't help. I can't believe they allowed her to exude that arrogance on the stage too at the end of the last song.

I think the real contenders have been outlined recently. If Daniel goes this week, I can really see people like Rachel who are found in every day singers who do copy singers in the charts to disappear too.

You're absolutely right!

I couldn't imagine how many Artists would lose sales if the public knew how badly behaved some can be behind the scenes..as I've had experience to know how leary and demanding some can be.

Whaaa? Arrogance at the end of the last song?

I have to say I'm lost as to what you're talking about. She appeared, she sang, she listened to comments and left. The myth of Rachel's 'arrogance' and 'bad attitude' seems to me to be based on very little (other than that she's confident, black and bolshy, of course).

I mean that bit where she posed and looked around and the camera focussed on here for a moment.

I thought that was a brilliant bit of theatricality! The girl has huge stage presence. It's a shame the note that followed was flat, obviously, but she did correct it once the music chimed in. I think it's a little unfair to interpret that as 'arrogance' - it's part of the performance. Should she turn up eyes downcast, maybe barefooted? Of course she'd find it rather difficult to play the cute little blonde girl, which may be her biggest disadvantage.

OK, that being said do you think she could be a Tracy Chapman type singer instead? Now this is what I was expecting from her.

We've had heart beat - up tempo, Feeling Good which is slightly dramatic for a song and last week it was, I think it was Dirty Diana - I can't remember.

Comparing it to the stuff she did in the auditions, she hasn't really repeated that but I think she could do some Tracy Chapman type material really well and it would suit her voice more.

She did Chasing Cars, No Good, Beautiful - which are a certain rhythm of song that are good for her voice. I don't think the song choices have done her voice any justice.
