I am looking to do the same - but waiting for the CPW exclusivity to end.
I think the Innov8 is quite well specced - the only other phones in the ball park are the C905 and X1 - although both have shortfalls.

The n95 and n96 really have no difference except i find that the n96 is a little slower than the n95s atm.
im too scared to cross over too samsung, lg or sony erricson because they dont seem as good as the nokias though, i would like my next phone to be a touch screen with an 8mp camera though and some good memory, i have 256mp3s and 275 photos on my n95 8gb atm.

It is not a touchscreen phone. The Samsung Omnia however is a touchscreen phone.
I don't know if there are any 8MP touchscreen phones - there are lots of 5MP ones.
The Innov8 has an optical sensor for a D-pad. Arguably better than a touchscreen imo which I think are too fragile compared to normal screens.
