Did Bruce undermind Cherie's confidence tonight

With perfect timing Bruces comments about Cherie's mistake
last week, just as she was waiting in the wings ready to dance this week, must have affected her confidence. She has nodoubt spent the week trying to put the mistake behind her and be really positive for tonight. No wonder James put his hands over her ears.

I assume this was preplanned comment, so yet again Bruce
has made a blunder.
For God's sake why couldn't he have said something positive.

No. I dont think so. She's just not that great at the Latin dances. She got through it though, quite well. However, I do think she was a little overmaked. The judges do seem to favour her because she's older. Lisa, Christine or Heather for example would not have got the marks that Cherie did for that same dance.

I did think talking about her mistake the previous week was a bit rotten.

Cherie's got far too much professionalism to retort back, but I'd have loved her to say"at least I'm not doddery!" to him.

No, I just think the dance didn't suit her ... no use looking for excuses ... you could say telling Jodie she ate his flowers undermined her and made her feel gangly ... just the luck of the dances

John gets sympathy marks because he's older as well.

Totally agree...that type of comment would be like water off a duck's back to a professional performer such as Cherie the fast Latin dances don't suit her and if she is in the dance-off she could probably fall over and the judges will put her through anyway...Confidence restored

No, the salsa was never going to be her dance even without Bruce's comment

Cherie is too much of a professional to let that comment get to her

Unfortunatly, it just wasn't her dance (although I didn't think it was that bad) and she was out of her comfort zone. I'm voting for her - if they left, I would lose a lot of interest in Strictly this year.
