It was arguably better than last year's though when even Simon got angry with how rubbish the standard was.

Totally agree - totally underwhelmed by everyone's performance except for JLS (and they relied heavily on a backing track, though Aston's vocals were good). No more disco themes!

Disco is all about the music and not the vocals which is why it never works and is always crap!!

Is disco even that relevent anymore?

Why don't they do a rock week or r and b or hip-hop or dance

Great point - you kind of put into words what I was thinking. When it comes to disco if the singer 'makes the song their own' they have failed, it's meant to be an generic track you can dance to, not about the singer's individuality ...
