Why do people say Rachel has a bad attitude?
^^ As above
I think she came across quite badly in the audition shows but she's shown grace in the later stages and I like the way she hushed the people (her family?) down when it was announced Austin was leaving and they were cheering |

Preconceived dislike. No matter what Rachel does she will always have an attitude and an ego on here.

I haven't seen any bad attitude from Rachel since the time she tried to argue with Simon and he shut her up.
I have always liked her and think she is a phenomenal performer. Last night she showed great sensitivity and maturity. The show is good for her and she is good for it. |

They are just jealous. I have rarely seen anyone with as much grace as Rachel, with the dignity, with the sweetness of temperament, with her noble and mindful aspect.
Next to Rachel, Mother Teresa was a gobby, obnoxious cretin. |

She does not act in a way the viewers approve of.

Chewing gum on Xtra Factor last night? Not listening to what she doesn't want to hear? Negative body language?
There is a huge chip on her shoulder - and she isn't showing the necessary skills to survive as a solo artist. If I were a record label, I wouldn't sign her - she couldn't be trusted to do press interviews/public appearances without doing damage |

Rachel's great she has charisma, personality and tremendous individuality. She also chose had much better dress sense last night I thought she looked pretty hot in fact for the first time.

Interesting question , she has a reputation for the same reason Fantasia in American Idol got a reputation for having a bad attitude , she talked back to Simon . Incidentally Will Young also talked back to Simon but he's a hero , go figure
Interesting clip of the moment Fantasia became one of the most hated contestants ever on American Idol , I actually thought she was hilarious http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=FiHSVmPruyo |

I think she hasn't changed her attitude. Since the live shows have started, whenever she hears from the judges and says "she will take it on board" it all comes across as a bit fake and rehearsed to me, like she's been told to accept their opinions or she will be in trouble.
On last night's Xtra Factor, she didn't do herself any favours. She made things difficult for Holly. |

Q: Why do people say Rachel has a bad attitude?
A: Because she has. Did you only start watching X Factor when the live shows started? Prime examples are Boot Camp, Xtra Factor and her poor attempt at being humble and gracious... just refusing to talk. |

Because she does... she has an attitude that the world owes her something because she decided to change.
I don't think that should retract from the fact she has a great voice though. but unfortunately x factor is a popularity contest as well as a singing one. |

Because she has a bad attitude and come across to me as someone with an entitlement complex and thinks society owes her a favour.
She also seems to barely be able to keep a lid on her temper, its going to be an interesting night when she is voted off. |

Since she has come to the live shows I think she has made a huge effort to show improvement in her whole attitude. She listens and accepts criticism in a positive manner and is polite. I honestly think this woman wants this a great deal and is putting everything into it. I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. I loved her performance last week and I loved the passion and determination in her sing off performance last night, to call it ‘aggressive’?? I find laughable.

Because of her past a lot of people think she will never change and she will always be like that. Some people also automatically put themselves above her because of her past.
I'm not her biggest fan but I like how she is trying to restore her life and how she wants to make something of herself. Then again, personal life shouldn't even come into it. A lot of people who judge Rachel's past say about other acts that their lives are irrelevant and its based on the performances. Since bootcamp, she hasn't really shown an attitude. She has tried and tried and tried and last night she was rightfully upset, but did some show some maturity and was very friendly to Austin. She clearly has a problem with speaking as she isn't the most fluent of speakers which really goes hand in hand with emotion. I think she was just a little frustrated last night especially on Xtra Factor. |

Simon has said she deserves a break presumably becasue of her past it shouldnt be about that it should be about the performances and the fact is she hasnt delivered only one good performance in 5 weeks you have to come to a point when the excuses stop and we see the 'raw talent' |

she was saved yet acted like she was out, ok its not nice being bottom 2 but rather than sit there with a face like a slapped arse she should be thinking ok im saved what i need to do to make sure this doesnt happen agin is xyz. The bottom line is she needs to prove to the GBP shes worth it for the votes not the GBP prove it to her. As huey said nows not the time to start squinnying as an unestablished artist this is the time they will be taking the hardest knocks.

Again, worth noting that I'm not a fan but her big band performance and the song she did in the bottom 2 last night were both very good IMO.
2 performances out of 6 a lot of competitors if in the final 2 would of been out on that percentage and a lot of previous contestants had had potential that they hadnt fulfilled on the shows and have been out . I feel excuses are being made for her. I did like the mary j blige song though |
