Rachel has had 4 chances to show 'the best of her'
...and 3 out of her 4 performances have been a mess. I'm sick of hearing about her 'raw talent' - she just isn't as good as some people think. If she was, she'd have shown it by now. Well done Louis

Why Louis? Danni and Cheryl saved her aswell.
Austin has also had 4 chances to show himself as a potential star, and failed on all occassions! |

The same thing can be said about Austin. Simons banged on about it for weeks.

Dannii keeps picking completely the wrong songs for her though. She just needs some soul songs and not all the gimmicks.
As much as I like Dannii, she just doesn't "get" Rachel. I wish Simon was her mentor. |

I agree 100%!
Rachel just isn't as good as the judges or her fans think. She's nothing special. |

Louis could have taken it to deadlock, and should have.

Raw talent my left butt cheek. The girl can't sing, she has an attitude problem, and she's been coached on what to say to the judges. It's scripted. I can't stand her, but they'll keep her in for as long as they can, because she has a 'story'. It's pathetic.

Totally agree. Austin's been penalised for being consistantly good. The judges have rarely criticised him, he's barely put a foot wrong. Rachel was great acapella but she's just incapable of staying in tune when she's got any backing track. Even last week where she shone she had some pretty awful dud notes.
Anyone think this is a judge v judge vote rather than anything to do with the artists? |

To be fair, Rachel has screwed up almost every time and this is her first time in the bottom two.
Austin has all the necessary ingredients of a generic reality winner- pretty boy, good voice, can turn on the waterworks but still managed to make the bottom two at this stage and over Daniel and Eoghan. Austin is lacking in the 'X factor' |

To be fair
Rachel does have raw talent and if you believe in what Louis Walsh has to say you'd be a fool. He more than anyone has shown how important the role of the mentor is this season.
It has been clear from week one that Danii can't work with Rachel and her choice of songs in week one, three and four for her have been atrocious. I actually have a conspiracy theory that all of this is 'staged'. Up until the live shows Rachel was by far the best singer. Her so called raw talent was being viewed on youtube by thousands. In order to make this a competition the producers had to wing up the other contestants performance for there ever to be more than a one-woman show. I mean so much is staged, you only have to look at the 'big band' performance of Diana last week. If they call performing to a piano big band, then I am the swinging tooth fairy? It's all a joke and I feel sorry for Rachel that she is part of this because she now can't win. She will be hated by Austin fans, she doesn't get on with her mentor and now Louis will pick on her when Daniel goes next week. The fact that she has toned down her attitude considerably would work wonders for anyone else but not for the X factor as the producers have gone out of their way to even look at this since the live shows began. So I wonder where Dermot's comment of no one has worked harder for this than Austin, came from? I think all contestants have shown great determination and Rachel is equally one of them. It is a great shame that now she is one of the final 12 she will be prevented from signing any record deals till the mandatory three month period after the final is over and by then I am sure the producers will have squeezed enough capital out of her and chuck her on the scrap heap. A great waste of talent.... Thanks Danni for nothing. Keep trying Rachel, I love you experimenting but bring back that amazing boot camp voice that still wows me on youtube! |
