Most sound tracks are usually of a high standard, but what one really sticks out for you?

i'm a big fan of musicals but i'm not sure if they would count here? if we are just talking film music then i quite like the soundtrack to "boogie nights"

The Lord Of The Rings score is very good, but an all time favourite would have to be a Disney score such as Aladdin.

The genre (country/folk) isn't my bag but I really do like the soundtrack to 'O Brother Where Art Thou?'

Two classics are:

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - the best Bond film and score by far

and

A Clockwork Orange

Honeymoon in Vegas - a very good selection of Elvis covers, the stand out one being a superb "Love Me Tender" by Amy Grant

The Specialist - okay so the movie wasn't that great, but the Emilio & Gloria Estefan produced soundtrack is excellent, with a mixture of Spanish, English & instrumental tracks

Reality Bytes - A very good mixture of old & new tracks (including U2 & Lenny Kravitz)

I usually don't notice film soundtracks...

But... I agree with the Romeo & Juliet selection (copious amounts of Radiohead).

The only other one I can really recall is Trainspotting. With Iggy Pop, Underworld and Lou Reed amongst others. Really defined the whole Britpop era.

Can't really narrow it down to a single movie, but I really like these:

Pretty In Pink
The Breakfast Club
Ferris Buellers Day Off
Cruel Intentions
The Matrix Reloaded
Bullitt
Mission: Impossible

I love Soundtracks. I have quite a few in my collection. As some others have said, Disney always do good Soundtracks (and I am a Disney Freak, so i have loads of them!!).

Other than that, some which really stick out include:

Moulin Rouge
Trainspotting
Dirty Dancing
Grease
Score-wise, there are few that can touch Armageddon.

Soundtrack-wise, then there can surely be only one winner - Grease!

Although if we discount musicals (and Disney films), then the following excel:

Weird Science
The Breakfast Club
Ghostbusters
Cruel Intentions
American Pie
Chasing Amy

Just wonderful.
