I just read this from Louis Walsh

Walsh also expressed disbelief at Strictly Come Dancing beating The X Factor to the Most Popular Talent Show gong at the National Television Awards this week.

He asked: "What happened? Were all the hospitals and nursing homes on redial that night?"

They thought they'd got it in the bag with aphone in vote on an ITV show. Sour grapes! SCD is an all age family show. I don't watch 'The X-Factor' or 'Britain hasn't Got Talent'. I do admit to watching 'Dancing on Ice'.

I love SCD and I am certainly not old! Sour grapes I think... A lot of people like both shows but why do they feel the need to put down a rival show? Sad really...

Yes sour grapes, would have looked better to be gracious in defeat.

I never watch X Factor, occasionally Britains got talent and yes, I always watch Dancing on Ice!

I only used to watch Big Brother. But then last year I got hooked on Strictly and Dancing on Ice.

I don't watch X Factor, but will occassionally be forced by my daughter to have a look online at someone she really likes.

Perhaps I am an old fuddy duddy, but I enjoy Strictly!

SCD is my fave, I love DOI as well.... I enjoy to a lesser extent X Factor and BGT.

Louis Walsh is cringeworthy. He tries to be controversial and just comes a cross as a twit. My bet is he's never even seen Strictly.

I'm 26 and I strongly prefer Strictly. Can't say I voted in the NTAs though!

I'm really looking forward to the pro dances tonight!

I wonder if giving a Strictly couple the opportunity to dance their quickstep at the awards ceremony and then reopening the phone lines also contributed to Strictly's success at the awards. It was the only category of award that viewers could vote on during the show. It would be interesting to know how the voting had gone up to that point.

Someone please pass Louis Walsh & Simon Cowell a bowl of sour grapes! In the past, The X Factor has beaten SCD to the NTA award and have the guys from SCD been so bitter about it? No! It was about time SCD won an award.

Anyway, looking forward to tonight's result show. I have no clue as to who went out because i haven't read the spoiler this week. But based on the performances last night, it should be between Andrew, John (sadly) or Heather (although i love Brian).

I loved Simon's face when SCD was announced as being the winner of the award. It was great television.

I've only started watching SCD. At first, I never thought it would appeal to me but I find it a highly entertaining show and it's good to see the celebrities learn a really good talent.

I think Andrew Castle could be in trouble again this week.. him and Heather for bottom 2, I think..
