Sony w890i wont work on Tesco MMS

Downloaded settings from Tesco a dozen times - nope

Downloaded (different) settings from Sony Erricson - nope

Spoke to Tesco services - nope

had the manual setting emailed from Tesco - nope

It's something & nothing and it's driving me nuts

Any ideas at all?

Make sure the phone is set to send MMS via GPRS and not via 3G.

It does use GPRS and i should've said that it does actually send mms messages - it just wont receive them - just get a message to view them on the web

Ah, that's a different matter. I can think of two possibilities.

It may be that your account is not properly set tup for MMS. Phone them and ask them to double check. (I don't mean the settings, but the systems at their end).

You didn't, by any chance, port your number in. Especially from T-Mobile/Virgin? I have heard of this happening before.

Goog luck with it. They may need to get their number porting team to talk to your old network to sort it.
