Who was right last night when Louis wants Diana to dance and Simon & Cheryl pointed out its not dance factor?

Personally I agree with S&C - there is no added advantage to Diana dancing, it doesn't suit her style.

Diana doesnt have to dance

but the rest do

smacks a bit of favoritism

Well it's the singing I am interested in, not the dancing, dancing doesn't sell records. So I agree with S & C

tbh if they were doing tours and stuff they'd have to dance you cant just sit down all the time and sing thats boring...it would be nice to see her dance but it wont happen.

It is about giving an overall performance - these days to succeed in the market place, you have to be good on TV, Radio, in the media and on stage.

Diana sitting there, playing with her hair or waving her fingers about will make for very dull concerts.

That is why she needs to demonstrate a bigger stage presence. That doesn't necessarily mean dancing - but some movement/choreographed elements must be incorporated at some point

I agree about the bigger stage presence she could at least walk a few steps now and again.

Not really a fan of Diana's but I don't see why it's important for her to show she can dance. Louis's just being a total muppet as usual. The man has no credibility left IMO.

If I wanted dancing I'd watch SCD (well I do as well, but that's not the point ). X Factor is a singingshow and that's what I'm interested in.

To be fair, Brian Friedman's choreography consists of walking with a side-step thrown in now and then. But remember folks, it will be a DISASTER if they didn't get it right cos walking to the left and then the right side of the stage is so difficult.

I agree with louis. The show is called the x factor not the"i can sing factor". Just look at all the artist in the charts they dance. So why should not diana. Could u imagine if see made a video and she just stood there. Would be very boring , or in concert with no dancing . Why should we not see if she can dance to prove she really does have the x factor. Would be a boring show if all contestants just stood there

They don't all have to be carbon copies of each other. I'm not getting why the dancing is such an important part personally. It's great if some of them want to add it to their performance but I don't see it as essential.

What, like a dad at a disco...does that make him have the X Factor for you?

most of them dont want to do it and given the chance they IMO would not do it but it seems that the addition of Brian and his stage show is more important than getting the best out of the vocalists

I know that if I was a contestant I would rather have the luxury of being able to concentrate on my vocals more than mincing about on the stage

I think if you cant dance its better not to try.
There are great singer/dancers, many have a background in dance like Madonna and Britney. Others just make a fool of themselves. If Diana is succesful, she is not going to tour and pack stadiums, so whats the point ?

I see both sides of the coin.

I don't think it is essential to dance but I do think it's important to show versitilty.

As it was disco week, I think they ALL should have had a routine. Having the x-factor is not just about the voice. It's the full package. For me Leona Lewis was the only contestant to tick all the boxes .... and no, I'm not a fan.
