Helen's Catchphrase
I like Helens use of the word 'So' to precede a verb rather than an adjective'.
The normal use would be before an adjective..as in 'You are so lucky'. Helen uses it to precede a verb, as in 'your are so going out of here!'. Is this use of the word 'so' common these days?..or is it a 'Helenism' ? ![]() Mike. |

Having lived in Cardiff I can tell you it's a Cardiff / Wales thing. They all talk like that they do. Anyway Helens cool, anybody who can puke in the kitchen sick in front of millions of people after going on a bender gets my vote.....

The use of the word "so" as in "you are so out of here" is commonly used in the TV series Friends and has been for years.

As in Brian is 'so' fine!

Good looking? According to whom?
![]() Yes, "trailer trash" is another USAmerican phrase (approximately equivalent to "rough trade" in Britain), but it doesn't fit either Brian or Josh (unfortunately). H. |
