Cole expects more x factor shocks
Cheryl Cole has warned that more impressive vocalists may face early exits from The X Factor in the coming weeks.
The Girls Aloud singer spoke out after Austin Drage and Rachel Hylton found themselves in the bottom two in a shock result last night. Drage was ultimately eliminated from the competition after Hylton was backed by Cole, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh in the judges' vote. Speaking on Xtra Factor afterwards, Cole explained: "People have this idea that it's all about the vocal but it's not. It's not always about having the most amazing vocal, it's about having, as cheesy as it sounds, the X Factor - that something you can't put your finger on. You can never guarantee a place in the next week." Meanwhile, Walsh expressed similar sentiments, insisting: "Both of them are really, really good but somebody's got to go home every week. Only one person's going to win this show and no-one's safe. It's down to what they do onstage." The X Factor continues at 7.20pm next Saturday on ITV1 with a Mariah Carey theme night. The line that sticks out to me is the x-factor- something that you can't quite put your finger on I have heard that word used several times about Diana |
