Yep Len was moaning tha the cape was a way of cheating your way out of doing half the dance! I'm inclined to agree with him on that front as there did seem to be a lot of cape twirling compared to dancing.

However I also took Camilla's point about the story and they needed it. However the pros should know by now that Len hates faffing and if they have an excellent dancer like Tom keep it to a bare minimum!

Like Lisa, I guess I can see both sides of the argument. Usually I would agree with Len, as I don't much like the use of props either. But in this case I'm right on Camilla's side. The cape was an integral part of the story and it was fairly obvious what story was being told (i.e. she takes the place of the cape) and I thought they did it excellently. In fact I really loved it and thought it was the most enjoyable dance of the night by a long way. The storytelling in the choreography and the acting was superb - and the dancing wasn't bad, either!

Sometimes Len needs to stop being so dogmatic and start opening his mind a little.
