Lisa's has to do a ballroom and Jodie and John have to do a latin - in Jodie's case a fast one in John's case to avoid duplication which seems to be the name of the game so far - so does he. The c.c.c does sound about right for him as it's a fun and fairly simple dance that'll suit him better than the alternative salsa and again duplication rule rules out jiving and rhumbing.

Jodie is doing the Samba, Lisa the VW confirmed on the BBC site now.

Yep John is doing the cha cha, Kristina confirmed it yesterday

So I have the full line-up now as;

Ballroom
Cherie - Waltz
Rachel - American Smooth
Tom - Quickstep
Heather - Tango

Latin
John - Cha Cha Cha
Jodie - Samba
Christine - Jive
Austin - Rumba

Looks like it might be another night where the ballroom may reign supreme - none of those Latin dances seem to suit the person doing them!

Agree. All the couples who are dancing a ballroom dance will do well. We will probably see some very high scores this Saturday especially with Cherie doing a Waltz, Lisa peforming the VW and Tom dancing the QS.

I am worried for Austin and to some extent for Jodie. I hope both can pull through their latin, more so Austin because it is such a hard dance, even more difficult for a male celeb performing a Rumba.

Ooooh, interesting night there!

I can see Cherie and Rachel duking it out at the top of the board, with Tom in third after Len docks him a couple of marks for tap-dancing during the quickstep

As I predicted earlier in this thread, John and Jodie look set to be the bottom two on the board...unless Ian can do something clever in the samba like he did for Penny (though I hated it), in which case I reckon Christine's highly vulnerable.

I think based on the dances and the past histories with these sorts of dances, I think Heather will be in the dance off again, possibly with Jodie depending on how well she does her Samba... I dunno about John... could he be safe again?

Don't forget Chrstine's deadwood legs doing a jive!

I think John will be safe but I think Heather is a shoe horn for the dance off.

I'm going to be bold and predict the leaderboard for this Saturday:

1) Cherie & James (waltz) - Right up her street, will get straight 9's and maybe a 10.
2) Tom & Camilla (quickstep) - straight 9's.
3) Rachel & Vincent (American Smooth) - expect some spectacular lifts from these 2.
4) Lisa & Brendan (Viennese Waltz) - maybe higher up than this if she manages to sort out her footwork like Arlene said.
5) Austin & Erin (Rumba) - Will be a difficult dance for him but I still think he'll manage straight 7's, perhaps more.
6) Heather & Brian (Tango) - If she can conquer her nerves I think she could score well.
7) Jodie & Ian (Samba) - I think she's going to struggle big time, hope I'm wrong though.
8) Christine & Matthew (jive) - I just can't see her being any good at this.
9) John & Kristina (Cha -Cha) - Well this is inevitible!

Based on what we've seen before; christine seems ok at the uptempo songs such as the Salsa (or samba get them too mixed up ) and also the group dance whichh had bouncy steps in it.

Ramp's roomba was slaughtered by 2 of the muppets and he still managed an average mark of 7, so not seeing Austin doing any worse than that. It all comes down to the acting and the arms.

I AM more worried for Jodie.

leaderboard prediction...

1 = Lisa and Brendan (VW) - She gets prasied and well marked for everything now shes conquered her nerves
2 = Tom and Camilla (QS) - Straight 9's as above; possibly footwork criticisms
3 = Cherie and James (W) - She'll be good; but the past two weeks may throw her slightly
4 = Rachel and Vincent (AS) - Nothing wow about it; but competant
5 = Austin and Erin (R) - It'll prob be technically competant; but lack the sizzle; will get good marks though because its Austin and Erin
6 = Christine and Matthew (J) - I think it'll be OK
7 = Heather and Brian (T) - OK in places; but will lack alot of drama etc
8 = Jodie and Ian (S) - Hopefully it wont be too bad; but I can't see it being great
9 = John and Kristina (CC) - I think last place is a given really

She said on ITT that she loves the Jive, it's her favourite dance.

Hey, Jodie was looking forward to the paso doble and Heather to the cha-cha, and look what happened there!

I think Christine will be dire, but as ever, it would be lovely to be proved wrong. I also think the tango will suit Heather a lot more than people seem to think - the difficult part of that dance is in the upper body, which she controls far better than her lower half.

It was the lindyhope/swing dance they did where Christine shone. I was really surprised at how good she was on in that because she's had no dance training.

The jive is the one dance I would love to learn how to do. Im quite tall so I'd probably be rubbish at it though
