ATMT 20GB Storm MP3 Player - MP180 (only £35!)
Anyone got one of these, http://www.bigpockets.co.uk/product....Player+-+MP180
I bought 2, one for me and my GF and am hoping they are decent little players. The price is too good to not take the chance. |

Just had them delivered and I am very impressed with the player. It's about the size of a ipod, not too light that it feels brittle and sounds decent enough, even with the included head phones. It comes with an install disc and it's usb and is recognised as an external hard drive, meaning you can just drag and drop and use it for a hard drive too if you wish.
On the disc is a basic music organiser for ripping cds and copying over should you wish to use a program instead. The screen is a little on the small side, as I noted from the pic on the web site but it does show folders and sub folders etc so that's great. The buttons are hard plastic not fancy rubberised ones. it has a lock switch which is always handy, my last player could only be locked by holding 2 buttons together. The only other downside I can find so far is a lack of mega ultra uber shuffle or whatever they call it, you can only shuffle in 1 folder. It also has snake on it for all the old school nokia users. I'm very happy with the player and I'm sure my missus will be happy when she opens hers up on xmas day. For £35 (call it £40 with P+P) this is a mega deal suitable for everyone who doesn't want to pay through the nose for an ipod or a more expensive (and no doubt vastly smaller capacity) player. If you want video then this isn't for you, but if you want to have 20gigs of music in your pocket then get one before they all sell out. 8/10 |
