My mom and her partner are in the process of adopting two male ginger cats (brothers) from the RSPCA and we're trying to help them decide on names.

They are four years old and quite big tom cats.

One is VERY fussy, quite outgoing and ginger with a white bib and white back paws.

The other is quite shy and timid but likes a bit of fuss and is completely ginger.

They have both got lovely cute round faces, and are short haired but very soft.

Can you think of any good names for them?

If they are 4 years old don't they already have names?

Prim and Proper?

Benson and Hedges?

Ginger and Tom?

Chessie and Peake?

I called my gorgeous fluffy tabby boy Chessie after the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad's mascot kitten, Chessie. They introduced another kitten as a 'mate' for Chessie, called Peake.

They were taken to the RSPCA as strays so we don't know the names they had before. The centre staff have called them Morris and Desmond but they're rubbish names and don't suit them at all! They said it would be fine to change the names as they've only had their current names for about a week and haven't got used to them.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm trying to think of pairs of names. Bill and Ben, Ben and Jerry, Tom and Jerry etc. Names that go together but are nice separately too.

They're such lovely fussy cats that they deserve lovely names.

We are planning to get a kitten after Christmas and the names we have in mind are Otis, Skeeter, Judder or Shane. Otis is topping the list, currently.

Amber is a cutie too, RG, a lovely little girl. I hope she doesn't live behind the glazing like that!

She's a bit bigger now bless her, but still our little baby , and she is the queen of the house (BF and I sleep like limpets at night as all 3lbs of her likes to stretch out on the bed!!). Just realised how dirty the glazing is - know what me and the BF will be doing this weekend

Yeah, they need their own house, never mind bedroom!

I have ten cats now, 3 of the ones in the album, Wuss (love of my life ), Tibs and Princess are sadly not with me any more. I never intended to get 10 cats, they're really hard work, all indoor cats and cost me a fortune, but my friend is in my local Cat's Protection and it's fatal! NO MORE though!!!
