DVD Playback problems

I have recently purchased the James Bond Ultimate Edition Box Set. After I returned home from purchasing it from HMV, I found there was a disk missing from one of the films. I then returned this set to HMV and was supplied with a replacement.

All disks were there but Disk 1 of Tomorrow Never Dies did not work properly - after 50 minutes, the picture froze and then pixilated (this just happens to be after switching layers). I took this set back and given another replacement, of which the same disk has the same problem.

I have tryed playback on a Panasonic DMR-EH50, DMR-EZ27 and DMP-BD30, all with the same result. I have also tried this disk in my computer and it refuses to play saying a CRC error so I know that there is a problem with my equipment. HMV are saying that it is my equipment that is faulty and I cannot have a replacement or refund, even though I know my equipment is fine and it is the disk at fault (for the second time).

Can anyone tell me if there is a known problem with the DVDs or that I have had two faulty ones and/or have a lot of faulty equipment?
