How do you clean your HDTV?

How do you all clean your HDTV's? Is the duster that you get free with your tv actually any good? I got one with my Samsung and it seems to be ok, but every morning I get up, my tv is near enough caked in dust.

I have always used a damp micro-cloth for my plasma - It gets wipes over once a week, never have a problem with dust.

Microfibre every time - Does the job but doesn't last. It helps if your whole lounge is dust free though, starting with furniture, lamps and hoovering carpet.

Well as I said, i've been using the duster that came with the tv, and now when I'm up close to the tv I can see little scratches on the cabinet.

I use the attachment with the soft brush on the end for the hoover. Seems to do the trick.

Does it not scratch the surrounding of your tv?

i use a micro fibre cloth, just wet the cloth a little with a plant spray bottle full of water,do it once a week, brings the screen, case and the glass tv stand up a treat with no scratches in site, you can get the microfibre cloths ina two pack from tescos for 97p and they are washable but for the money i just replace them every couple of months
i also read on a website that to keep dust away try putting a little comfort or lenor in a bowl of warm water and put the microfibre cloth in it and wring it out so as all the excess water is out then clean the screen tv satnd the lot,as fabric conditioner is anti static its supposed to repel dust

hope this helps

Don't you need the Monster super deluxe cleaning kit that promises to improve the colours and black levels whilst ensuring that your eyes see everything that the picture displays!!!!

all that monster stuff is a waste of money...no offence but from the cleaning stuff to the 60 quid gold plated hdmi cable they tried to sell me...comet is a rip off

Not with the soft brush bit.

I just run it gently over the entire TV. Turns it into a dust free zone better than any cloth I've ever tried.

Obviously, it depends how soft the brush thingy for sticking on the end of your hose is .... .... if you get what I mean.

The real problem is that I ordered this tv from Amazon and when it came, it had minor tv scratches, so I don't know whether to contact Amazon and get a replacement. Just a bit cheesed off that it cost me £509 and it's already scratched.

I purchased a tub of 100 anti static screen wipes for £6 and they seem to do a good job, they look like small peices of kitchen towel that are slightly damp, clean the screen well and dont cause any scratches. even after a week there's hardly any dust on the screen, amazing compared to my old crt which was a dust magnet!
