This may sound a bit weird, but I don't actually know.

I have an 8 month old Pooshie (Mini Poodle/Shih-Tzu cross), and he has always sneezed regular, think its to do with his small nose.
But in the last two days, he has sneezed and followed it with 5-10 seconds of heavy snorting. Aside from this that I have noticed, he is otherwise perfectly fine, still full of life and excitement.

So, I'm wondering if Dogs do suffer from colds when the weather drops, just like us. He still has to go outside to do his business, so can that give him a chill?

I'm not sure if they get colds like humans but they definately get allergies. Merlin suffered from hay fever every year and also reacted with sneezing to certain household products used around the house. When I changed brands he didn't react in the same way.

A few years ago my dog was constantly sneezing as were all the dogs in the neighbourhood so it must have been a virus. It cleared up after about a week so I don't think it's a big deal.

My dog was coughing and sneezing. The vet said it was probably kennel cough and that's it the equivalent of a human cough for a dog.

My dog snorts a lot and has a runny nose. I was worried something was wrong with him but it turned out he has allergies. I had been using that new febreeze air freshner and that was setting it off. I stopped using it and it calmed down.

I have always wondered though can a dog catch a cold or flu from us?
