Awww, RIP Richard, Jaws is a such a legendary iconic Bond villain, ironically everyone loves the character. Still really rate 'The Spy who loved me', Classic 70s Bond.

Roger Moore wrote a touching message on Twitter earlier....

Sir Roger Moore ‏@sirrogermoore 2h
I am totally distraught to learn of my dear friend Richard Kiel's passing. We were on a radio programme together just a week ago. Distraught

Another one here. I'll always remember him biting through the steel cable. Apart from Sean Connery and Roger Moore, Richard Kiel was probably one of the most famous people in the Bond films.

RIP Richard Kiel, what a legend. Moonraker was one of my favourite Bonds as a child, and the character of Jaws played a huge part in that. Probably the most iconic Bond villain of all.

RIP Richard Keel.

He also appeared in Clint Eastwood's Pale Rider.

RIP Richard Kiel, Was easily one of the best bond villains who turned good at the end.

In fact I think he is the only Bond villain who wasn't killed off.

Great in Happy Gilmore too

My partner told me this morning, and we were both sad. Richard Kiel was a legend. We both love Jaws! RIP, Richard!

One of the best Bond villains and I always thought a much underrated actor
I always find it a mixed blessing for someone to be remembered for one main role as there was much more to him than Jaws

RIP

I know, I remember him in many TV series, and he was the Alien in one of the best Twilight Zone episodes; "To Serve Man"

Photo of Richard as young man

Here some of his great quotes;

It is always more fun to play a bad guy than to be yourself as you can create a character unlike your own and be someone you are not for a change.

Once a Bond fan, always a Bond fan.

He's among the first you'd think of when Bond Villians are mentioned. I loved that Jaws was redeemed from villiany by the love of a teeny tiny blonde woman.

RIP Mr Kiel.
