I spotted Su Pollard in my local theatre when she was playing Miss Hannigan in Annie, chased her down and in a terribly starstruck voice said 'we love you Su' she replied with a 'what was that dahling'? so i said with a trembly voice 'we love you Su'. She put her hand on my chest and said 'thank you sweetheart'. My partner was hiding behind a pillar.

I die inside when I think of it.

I met Julian Clary some years ago at a local uni where he was doing a gig. I was walking from the library and he asked for directions to the main hall. We chatted for a few moments. He was very polite, tall, good looking actually, rather shy and funny, too. Didn't see him on Celebrity Big Brother but I'm not surprised that he won. Seemed like a nice bloke.

David Beckham must be one of the nicest, most genuine celebrities in our country judging by the posts here, and I'm going to add another positive one!
I met him a few years ago through work. I knew I was going to meet him and expected not to like him - I thought his public image as a nice bloke was just a PR scam. But I admit he charmed me and everyone else, spent time talking to people, and winning everyone over, and I got my picture taken with him and it is still on the wall at my home to this day!

Quite a few years ago I met Simon King, the wildlife presenter/film-maker and he's a really lovely guy.

I met all of the band Athlete after a gig in 2009 and they all signed a CD for me - again they were very friendly and seemed touched that I'd waited to meet them, especially Joel (the singer).

Also met Editors after a gig the same year and again they came across as really down-to-earth, their third album had just gone to #1 as well. They seemed to really appreciate comments on the gig.

Finally, I've also been lucky enough to meet quite a few people from Dancing On Ice including Hayley Tammadon, Suzanne Shaw, Clare Buckfield, Daniel Whiston, Matt Evers, Michael Zenezini (before he was on DOI though!), Nina Ulanova & Katie Stainsby. Again, all really nice people and happy to take some time to sign an autograph and have a quick chat. Katie was particularly talkative - I do find it a bit awkward approaching people, so it really helps when they actually talk to me and ask if you enjoyed a show, etc.”

Jeremy is nice however watch the keepers they appear nice on tv but in reality are nasty, they hate visitors

A few year ago I was on a flight to Las Vegas and Richard Dreyfuss was on board in 1st class. Unfortunately their toilets were broken and they were using the ones in cattle class. Several people came through the cabin without a fuss, apart from Mr D who had two cabin crew in front of him and two behind acting as chaperones in case us plebs dared to try and talk to him.

What an absolute knob. Such a 'celeb' I've actually never heard of this person!!

Frankly I'd have pointed and laughed openly at such a prima donna

My sister works at a holiday camp and told me about when Chico visited.

He went for a meal at the restaurant before his gig and left without paying, and then after his gig tried to go to the Papa John's onsite. The manager told him they were closed, and he said the immortal line 'Don't you know who I am? I'm Chico,' to which the manager replied, 'Don't you know who I am? I'm Michael.'

Nope. Apparently he was alright apart from that, got photos with everyone and stuff, but just presumed he was entitled to everything.

I might have already mentioned this but in my case it was 'comedian' Ardal O'Hanlon...'Dougal' from Father Ted. About as funny as the inside leg of a chair.

I recognised him from Jaws as he was one of the main stars, but he's quite big in the US.

To be fair, you can't hold it against a comedian if they're not funny-unless they're on stage, of course.

DH has met ant and dec, who were very nice, although ant was shy.
He's met Johnathon Wilkies who was a nice down to earth guy.
The Weasley Twins weren't very talkative.
Ben Shephard was nice
he also recently through work met 'some apparently famous bearded comedian' who's name escapes him!! who was apparently the funniest guy alive.

Many years ago, Robert Smith of The Cure spent an hour standing outside Selfridges with me and my then boyfriend, just chatting. A truly lovely, lovely man!

A few years ago he was appearing in a play in my home town and the theatre had booked him into the 5 * hotel where I worked (they booked most of the big named stars in with us) he refused to stay without even going to his room - goodness knows where he did stay because that was the best hotel in the city !

Yeah, quiet, very humble and shy, not at all full of himself. It's no wonder that he's so popular with his co-stars and fan.

So did my mum. She was collecting for a local charity at the time. He offered to donate some of his sperm. Nice.

J K Rowling.

At a book signing i got dragged along too, very poor attitude and sneery, seemed to hate the idea f meeting the fans. Was put in a foul mood by a parent who loudly criticised her attitude towards her child, Rowling stormed off in a huff.

Spitefull ignorant woman.

Or maybe feeling unwell. Or very (as it looks to me) shy. Or all sorts of things - people have bad days.
