My son and his wife have been in Norfolk this week and went on the little steam train from Sheringham to Holt........with Rick Wakeman on board!

My son said there was a BBC film crew there who he appeared to be with. He spoke to Rick Wakeman and said he was very friendly and nice and posed for a photo with my son.
Rick Wakeman is really nice. He performed at our local theatre and when developers wanted to knock it down my hubby emailed him to tell him. He replied to hubby and also wrote to the newspaper and council to voice his objection

Reading through some of the earlier posts on here, there have been a few negative posts about Lynsey De Paul, with a few people saying she could be snobbish and nearly got into a fight with Suzi Quatro in 1973 on the set of TOTP.
I've generally found her decent enough on the television and she works hard for the PRS and animal charities and this surprises me.

She attended a charity show that I was at last year and she was happy to talk to people. John Bercow was there too and I was so tempted to say 'sorry about your wife'!!

After you've met him a few times, you can never tell how Keith Lemon is going to be. He can be as nice as anything one day, and then suddenly turn on you. He's a mystery, that one.

I saw Tristan with his baby in my local Waitrose in Bristol about 3 years ago - even better looking in the flesh than he is on screen.

As well as being a fictional character...

I saw the lovely Russell Grant,he was alone in Manchester and me and my friends drunkenly greeted him,he was very nice to us all but a bit embarrassed.I also knew Steven Lord,a Local actor, before he was that well known. He was such a nice lad who tried but failed to win me over, much to my mothers annoyance. He even escorted me home after a night out with friends and when he tried to invite himself in for a nightcap,my Dad saw him off wearing my Mums pink bathrobe! think the poor lad was scarred for life

I got Jonathan Dimbleby's autograph when Any Questions? came to Great Yarmouth in June this year. Very nice man, approachable and friendly. Any Questions? went to Thetford on Friday and afterwards he spent a good 10-15 minutes talking to the organisers from the Grammar School.

Also met Jeremy Goss (Norwich City footballer during the 1980s and 1990s) two years ago when he made a speech about his career and fundraising. Very modest, very honest about his life and career. I'm around the same age as his children and we spoke about school etc. Afterwards he stayed around to speak to people who'd approached him and I shook his hand twice.

My cousin used to work for the Sunday Express magazine in the eighties and said a real horror to interview was Maureen Lipman, she was totally arrogant and as soon as the interview ended, walked off without a word of thanks. She said her next big interviewee, Terry Wogan, was OK but very full of himself and rather pompous, although he was nicer than Ms Lipman. I do remember her interviewing a few politicians and said John Major, the foreign secretary, was a total gentleman and very polite, Paddy Ashdown came across as rather earnest and short on laughs, and Neil Kinnock was witty and quite engaging.

Major does come across as a reasonable guy now he's out of front line politics.

Shame I don't like the party he supports.

That doesn't surprise me. Actually for all the name might ruffle a few feathers, Maggie was quite approachable and always prepared to talk to her supporters. I did point out her predecessor Ted Heath could be completely ignorant and if someone said something he didn't agree with, he would blank them for the rest of the day.

A friend of mine met Maggie and said she was awful - Dennis on the other hand was apparently a lovely man.

He came across as a real sweetheart when he did Strictly Come Dancing it's nice to know that's not a false impression- his pro partner seemed to get on with him like a house on fire too.

I live not far from Michelle Keegan and saw Mark Wright in our local Tesco, hes even better looking in real life, and quite tiny as is Michelle,he was happily posing for pics with some young kids.I accidently made eye contact with him but looked away instantly, wouldnt give him the satisfaction of thinking I was drooling over him or even knew who he was.I was more excited to see little David Platt in the same Tesco,he was around the same size as my 12 yr old son, love him though.Come to think of it our Tesco is quite popular with celebs.Saw a giant of a man in there with a dolled up woman and was told it was Tyson Fury,a boxer, seemed friendly enough

He was trying to help me on a project, but couldn't because of his knee op, honestly one of the loveliest guys not only one of the best celebs I know, but one of the loveliest guys I know of.

He genuinely loved Strictly, one of the people who appreciated it genuinely the most
