She's the daughter of a Lord - doesn't get much posher than that! Although it's funny given her background that her two most famous roles are as a housemaid in Downton Abbey, and a wild warrior woman in Game of Thrones.
I did meet her and Kit Harington very briefly in a park near where I live in London. I was sunbathing and they asked for directions. Both seemed nice, but like they didn't want to be recognised. I was very distracted by Kit's abs though (he had his T-shirt off - it was a very hot summer's day, and it was when he was on crutches after he'd hurt his leg). The dude was seriously ripped!
A friend of mine met Natalie Dormer at a cocktail party and described her as lovely and not stuck up at all. Although it was a bit of an official event, and she could have been on her best behaviour I guess.
I met Mark Gatiss (from Sherlock and The League of Gentlemen) through a mutual friend in a pub once. Nice guy and very intelligent, though a little bumbling.
Met Jan Leeming (former newsreader) at the BBC once. I sensed she's someone you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of, but she was pleasant enough to me and my other half, who was with me.
Met singers Betty Boo, Phil Oakey (Human League), Martin Fry (ABC) and Beverley Knight through work. Betty Boo was absolutely lovely, one of the nicest people I've met, celebrity or otherwise. Phil Oakey was likeable and down to Earth, Martin Fry a bit distracted and disinterested, but otherwise okay, and Beverley Knight was very friendly, and very patient when I was dealing with some technical problems.
I met Nerys Hughes (Welsh actress from The Liver Birds, The District Nurse Etc.) through work once too. Very nice, down to Earth and jolly.
As a teenager I met the late Claire Rayner (agony aunt) through school. Really nice and warm lady with a good sense of fun.
Only really unpleasant celebrity encounter I've had was waaay back when I was a little kid aged about 6 or 7 when I had the misfortune of meeting Anita Harris (she was in the 'Carry On' films and other stuff back in the day) at a local fete. Total bitch who made me cry, and then had a go at me for crying. I couldn't help but smile when I heard in recent years that she'd gone bankrupt. Couldn't happen to a nicer woman!
