Has anyone had experiences with members of the Jagger clan? I haven't myself but they always struck me as being nice and people you could have a good conversation with. Would be good to hear.

I didn't really look at them, and to be honest I hadn't got my contacts in, so I couldn't have seen them properly anyway. After we left the cafe, my brother in law asked if I'd recognised them. It was Jerry Hall and a couple of other adults with teens and children. just like any other family on the beach. |

I know that one shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I found this clip on YouTube a while ago.
It's interesting. The Rolling Stones talk about Brian Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJnC8JSIcfQ |

Tom Baker (Dr Who) talks about meeting Mick J on one of the DVDs - they were filming at one of Mick's stately homes. Anyhow, Baker says Jagger appeared briefly to see them but was surrounded by fawning yes-men going, "Yes, Mick, yes, Mick," to everything. He adds that Jagger rather looked down his nose at them all.

near by venue. When he arrived for rehearsal he announced "I'm your star for the night" and boy did he mean it. She hasn't a good word for him now! |

I've heard stuff about his pompousness over the years- all hearsay but another one where there are 'echoes'.

Oh I am so disappointed to hear that about Aled Jones, I watch Escape to the Country and he is one of my favourite presenters, he just seems so genuine and such a nice guy!

My girls met the late Victoria Wood several years ago whilst filming a mickey-take of Larkrise to Candleford. They only had small parts but she made them feel very much part of the team....you know little things like making sure they knew where to get drinks etc.
And when the scenes were finished she asked if she could have a photo with them! A truly lovely lady. ![]()

I've not necessarily met anyone famous but my most notable encounter was back when I was an 18 year old, madly into Alan Smith (the ex Leeds United footballer) and his bleach blonde hair!
I used to wait around after every afternoon kick off home game to try and get autographs and he was always so polite, he'd be the one player who would stay for hours just to make sure everyone had an autograph. This was way back in the days before selfies! I remember once I asked for an autograph on my programme and my shirt and he smiled and did both. Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell were both equally as friendly. To this day I still have an old Nike Leeds United ball autographed by Kewell and Viduka and shirts signed by Alan Smith. Lovely lovely unassuming people. |
