Has anyone had experiences with members of the Jagger clan? I haven't myself but they always struck me as being nice and people you could have a good conversation with. Would be good to hear.

I don't think Mick comes across as being particularly pleasant.

About 12 years ago I was with family on a beach in the south of France. Think it was near a little village, an area with not many Brits, mostly French people. Not a celebrity area in any way. We went to a beach cafe for lunch. There was one other group speaking English, just an ordinary family, talking about the beach, what the children and teens were going to do that afternoon.
I didn't really look at them, and to be honest I hadn't got my contacts in, so I couldn't have seen them properly anyway.
After we left the cafe, my brother in law asked if I'd recognised them. It was Jerry Hall and a couple of other adults with teens and children. just like any other family on the beach.

No personal experience but a few years back Liz Jagger ( daughter of Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall) was on that programme where Rolf Harris was painting women for a set of allegorical pictures. Aside from what we now know about Harris, I recall at the time, , for someone whose only "career" had been modelling from an early age , she came across very pleasant.

I know that one shouldn't speak ill of the dead, but I found this clip on YouTube a while ago.

It's interesting.

The Rolling Stones talk about Brian Jones:

Briefly met his and Jerry Hall's son James last week, seemed nice. Pretty normal.

Tom Baker (Dr Who) talks about meeting Mick J on one of the DVDs - they were filming at one of Mick's stately homes. Anyhow, Baker says Jagger appeared briefly to see them but was surrounded by fawning yes-men going, "Yes, Mick, yes, Mick," to everything. He adds that Jagger rather looked down his nose at them all.

'Pyramids Of Mars' I believe? Only have it as an off air (I think?)

My wife had an experience with Aled and he was very snotty and up himself, not very nice.

A friend sings in a local choir and they were due to sing with Aled Jones at a
near by venue. When he arrived for rehearsal he announced "I'm your star for the night" and boy did he mean it. She hasn't a good word for him now!

I've heard stuff about his pompousness over the years- all hearsay but another one where there are 'echoes'.

My wife worked with him on a tv project, he would only speak to his agent and none of the crew. He was working with the production company owner but would call his agent in the UK who would call the production company who would then call their boss who was with him abroad.

He made very excessive demands and was just horrible

A lot of other bigger stars she worked with were much nicer.

Oh I am so disappointed to hear that about Aled Jones, I watch Escape to the Country and he is one of my favourite presenters, he just seems so genuine and such a nice guy!

My girls met the late Victoria Wood several years ago whilst filming a mickey-take of Larkrise to Candleford. They only had small parts but she made them feel very much part of the team....you know little things like making sure they knew where to get drinks etc.
And when the scenes were finished she asked if she could have a photo with them!
A truly lovely lady.

Lovely. I always got the impression she was a genuinely good woman.

Another wonderful person gone too soon in this horrible year.

I've not necessarily met anyone famous but my most notable encounter was back when I was an 18 year old, madly into Alan Smith (the ex Leeds United footballer) and his bleach blonde hair!

I used to wait around after every afternoon kick off home game to try and get autographs and he was always so polite, he'd be the one player who would stay for hours just to make sure everyone had an autograph. This was way back in the days before selfies! I remember once I asked for an autograph on my programme and my shirt and he smiled and did both. Mark Viduka and Harry Kewell were both equally as friendly.

To this day I still have an old Nike Leeds United ball autographed by Kewell and Viduka and shirts signed by Alan Smith. Lovely lovely unassuming people.

Well, many years ago the children's hospital where my wife worked wanted a name to open their fete. A celebrity was approach who requested a large fee so they tried Bob Monkhouse. He not only did it for free but stayed on after the opening mingling with the crowd.
