Has anyone met Peter Andre?

I can't stand the bloke, so want to know he's just as sly and nauseating in real life...

Typical attitude from people who land in the lap of luxury through sheer chance and somehow elevate themselves to something they are not. I could imagine Waity saying to her family "The staff are paid to serve us so go right ahead and order them around...it's what they're for."

I was never a Diana fan myself either - I have no doubt that she was someone well used to getting her own way and throwing herself around when she didn't get it. Which is one of the reasons why she and Charles were never right for each other. Reminds me of the time when Diana paid a fundraising visit to Sydney in 1996 and stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Double Bay. A friend who worked in housekeeping there told me that word circulated around staff pretty fast that Diana was not all that pleased to be there. At the fundraiser dinner that night she was dancing with the NSW Premier Neville Wran and he later told how they were only dancing for a few minutes when she signalled her assistant over and said 'Get me out of here...now!" And then she left the do and went back to her hotel.

They produced two smashing sons though, at least they got something right.

I'm not a fan myself, but 2 people I know have met him:

My mum - said he was lovely and very approachable, gave her a hug and made time for her etc. This was a restaurant he walked in to for lunch.

A friend - said he was very nice and approachable and made time for his fans, this was at a PR event .

My partner was staying in Liverpool overnight for a concert with a friend, and Aled Jones was staying at the same hotel. Apparently Aled was really rude to the waiting staff at breakfast in the morning. I always think it says a lot about someone how they treat waiters and other people in the service industry.

I agree. I have long said you can tell a lot about a person by the way they treat waiters and so forth.

I think the poster meant that Bob Monkhouse was the guy who said the one-liner about faking sincerity.

Although I'd never had the pleasure of meeting him - I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad word about him - seems he was a genuine good guy. Cracking joke-teller too!

As for Aled Jones - glad to hear that he's a bit of a toss-pot as I've never liked him either as a child 'star' or as an adult.

My sister met him on a delayed flight last year. Couldn't speak highly enough of him. He even had to take the selfie on my sister's phone as she was shaking through nerves and excitement. On the same day I met John Craven. Not such a positive experience

He seems very fake doesn't he. Not had any encounters myself, but I've heard through the grapevine he's "nice but dim"

He has every reason to be grateful. He's made minimal talent last over 20 years & made him a rich man. Based on what? It's not talent is it?

Give us the news(round) on why he was not good.

I knew someone who appeared on one of his quiz shows. She said he was lovely, very thoughtful and went out of his way to make people feel at ease. She said, apart from being very funny, he was also very intelligent.

Yes, I have met Peter Andre, several years ago, in Crawley.

He was absolutely lovely & very, very genuine. A thoroughly nice guy.

Yes, I was that poster and I was indeed referring to Bob's joke about sincerity.

I had a colleague in the 90's who had seen Bob as an after dinner speaker at some industry event. He said Bob's act was not suitable for TV but Bob himself was a very kind, generous and approachable chap who made time for anyone who wanted to chat with him.

Yeah, my aunt did a lot of silver service waitressing back in the day for various big showbiz type dos, Bob Monkhouse was one she always had time for, very funny and very nice to the waiting staff.

I do enjoy the royal stuff, interesting regarding the arrivistes - they seem to have handled their PR very well. I can't help but think there is a slight Windsor bias in the comments though, by all accounts they are hardly a bunch of angels.

Is there anyone you like? - your posts come across as bile filled bitterness - they may have a basis in fact but you seem to hang onto it?
I suggest that any therapy you may have had was unsuccessful if you still hold such passion- perhaps you need to try again?

He is always described as 'absolutely lovely' by every one who 'meets' him.

I don't trust people who are always without fail 'absolutely lovely'. Especially Andre who would lick his fans boots if it meant getting a compliment. We've seen the nasty spiteful side he displayed on his show and it was unpleasant to watch.

I do not doubt for one moment he has a face for those members of the public who break out in a sweat when they see him walking towards him and another when he's being himself. It's easier to fawn all over complete strangers when you never have to run into them again.

Well I was at a Theatre last night a small fringe theatre and word was Gemma Collins was going to be there to " support" her friend Who was in the show.
I had a bet that she would turn up late...she is, with someone in a wheelchair who I assumed was her mum and another blonde girl who maybe was her sister.
They came in, she stuffed her face with bagels and both her and the other girl spent the whole first half talking and on their mobiles . Someone who was the partner of one of the cast had enough and asked her to be quiet.
Her reaction was disgusting, she pulled her had back, sneered and said " ******" load enough for us to hear in the next block of seats.
The guy got a round of applause from the audience at the end.

Talk about disrespectful of the cast and audience. I heard she had also told the staff when she came in she was starving and wanted some food. All they had at the cafe were bagels, she grabbed 6 and took them.

At the end of the show she shifted so fast it was unbelievable. Turns out she hadn't paid for the food and promised she would pay at the end of the show but didn't.

She was so vile.

I've met him socially too, he was a drunken, aggressive ****, aggression not aimed at anyone in particular but you could see he thinks he's a hard man. He was also running around like something possessed with the spirit of "energy" IYKWIM
Dominic West is tiny and quite unassuming, a nice man.

She sounds absolutely horrific! Never watched TOWIE but saw her in CBB this year and I don't think she did herself any favours in that. Nasty piece of work.

From the stories I've heard about her she doesn't seem to be the nicest person on the planet. Famous with a lack of talent and an overgrown sense of entitlement.

Sarah Harding is SO genuinely nice and a glowing personality. Shame the media treat her as cannon fodder with their unflattering headlines. One of the more competent singers in GA as well.

The fact that I had to Google her to find out who the hell she is, says that she is just a vile Z-lister who thinks she is famous, important and everyone should look at her, but she is one of those people more people don't know who she is than do so.
