To be fair cavegirl's post you quoted is from 2008, Fred Talbot's crimes were not uncovered until 2012 and not made public until 2013. I'm sure many of us thought Rolf Harris, Stuart Hall and DLT were nice people if we had met them prior to us knowing what we now know. .

I see from here Holly Willoughby gets a bit of a drubbing, only seen her once across a pub along with Ferne and Leigh Francis was buying a drink at the bar, he was really enjoying himself with the craic.

Ive always liked Holly , but is she really a Diva and not nice?

Rula Lenska and Jan Leemung were incredibly rude and patronising

Fern Britton is lovely

Not celebrities but two scumbags.

Phillip Green - gave me the creeps, smells of day old sweat and Golden Virginia, a few years ago I had to go down to London for training and I had the misfortune to meet him and his odious vile wife, she is mutton dressed up as scrag end with less manners than an ignorant chav, my visit was a year after he took money from the pension fund to dividend his old hag. Old Green is so sleazy he would make a year dead female corpse feel uncomfortable.

Dominic Chappel - clueless, thick and again like green very sleazy, no one liked him and I'll be surprised if BHS if bought out of bankruptcy is not robbed blind by him and his disgusting ilk again

That's an awful way to speak about anybody, no matter how much you dislike them.

I don't think it is. PG even threatened to kill a work colleague's children decades ago. He is possibly the most vile person on the planet.

What the hell?!

All I can say is perhaps people should do their homework before being going into instantly offended mode. Given what you say here and the poster's first hand experience of meeting the Greens I don't think it was all that harsh. If you met someone who behaved appallingly then it's fair to say so. If they had never even met that would be entirely different.

If your response was in relation to my post, I was not 'instantly offended'. In fact, I was not offended at all.

Everyone has the perfect right to express their opinions but referring to someone as 'smelling of day old sweat' etc., is not necessary and undermines the argument.

I think it's a fair comment if that's how he smells.

Indeed, of course it is for goodness sake.

This week I have been on the Trainspotting 2 set and have to say that Danny Boyle is the nicest guy ever. He took lots of time to chat to everyone , and it was an honour to meet him. Jonny Lee Miller chatted with us briefly and was also really nice and friendly. Ewan McGregor seemed pretty quiet, but he seemed a nice decent guy.

I am ridiculously jealous! Are you allowed to say if it's looking any good so far? (Probably not)

Can't say too much but I think it's going to be a cracker....especially given Danny Boyle is directing it again.

No it was Bob Monkhouse, it was quoted in a recent documentary about him. Although he said it very much tongue in cheek, because from what I have heard about him, he was a really lovely genuine guy.

I think that's a very fair assessment of those two considering the mess and plundering they did to BHS and its pension funds, I trust the person was an employee of BHS thus was giving a very personal opinion of two worthless excuses for humans who have likely screwed her retirement prospects and ensured her unemployment.

I do believe her description of the orange blob that's the wife was very funny.

Met a few famous folk here in California,

Robert Pattinson - nasty and arsehole come to mind.

Britney Spears - nice and friendly but definitely not on planet earth at times.

Clint Eastwood - totally ****ing awesome and a legend, I'd turn straight and have his babies if he would have asked me.

JK Rowling - it's not nice to mock the afflicted so I'll just say I'd rather have met Ted Bundy than her.

Chris Pratt - he of Parks and Recreation and Jurrasic World fame was so down to earth and friendly, a friend is a friend of his so met him a few times along with Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler, he was impressed a stiff assed Brit knew him from Parks and Rec, awesome guy.

Person of Interest cast - well four of them Amy Acker, Jim Caviezel, Micheal Emmerson and Kevin Chapman, all were totally sound , got a kiss from Jim.

Denzel Washington - he looks scary when he gives his trademark stare but happily signed our t shirts,

Lily James - an awful spoilt brat, no manners or class considering she played a lady in Downton Abbey, acting like a total diva but no one took any notice of her, this may appear to be bitchy but I don't care because I'm posting it, she has very bad skin, make up is definitely her saviour, at the time we bumped into her she looked like just another plain girl with skin issues.

I suggest that any therapy you may have had was unsuccessful if you still hold such passion- perhaps you need to try again?”

That's rather low mocking someone who may have been in therapy because of work related issues, work is not always sweetness and light, when your work environment is toxic and not of your making as in the case of that former FM then it can have a detrimental effect on your health and mental state.

I have no reason to disbelieve the FM as it is well documented what a destructive narcissistic personality that Diana had, her treatment of others leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth, simply put she was no better than a common bully, sometimes no amount of therapy can ever erase the hatred that one has due to enduring years in a toxic work environment with a nasty individual especially if they were mistreated by a bullying superior.

Thanks for these!

Delighted Clint is every much the legend we expect him to be.

JK - I'm another one who wants to hear more. Especially if Ted Bundy would be a more pleasant acquaintance. It doesn't get very much more damning than that....

I know someone in the book trade who was telling me about some of the authors he's met over the years. His favourites are Michael Palin and Ian Rankin. The worst, he wouldn't name names but said someone who wrote about a boy wizard was "distinctly frosty."
