I met Mo Mowlam in the ladies loos when I went to see Jerry Springer the Opera a few years ago - she was a lovely person, very chatty and friendly, there was a queue and she had her walking stick, we offered to let her go first but she said that she would go to the disabled.
I also bumped into Sandi Toksvig when I was walking into Selfridges - and I said 'oh hello' thinking she was someone I actually knew, and she blanked me. I would never go up to anyone and ask for their autograph, but sometimes mistakenly think they are someone I know and go to say hello - before I realise and stop myself, but with her I had said it, and felt a bit stupid being blanked.
Years ago I was on a tube train on the weekend and the man opposite looked so like Gianluca Vialli I couldn't believe it, I kept on trying to look at him without him noticing. I didn't think it was him as didn't expect he would be on the tube. He caught my eye once and winked and smiled. Later on I was watching football commentators on TV - and there he was in the same jumper!!
Used to be in the Armed Forced - Rory Underwood (rugby player) was very pompous, Prince Charles was really nice, his brother Andrew was a nightmare.
