I met Vic Reeves once too..... he was as pished as a newt.... had no idea what he was doing or where he was going. He did get up and sing Dizzy at the karaoke bar at one point ...... other than sloshed, he seemed OK!
I met Mark Owen once too and he was a bit grumpy. It wasn't long after TT had split up so I let him off as I guess he was quite down. Usually, there's only good news that filters back about Mark. |

I met Claudia Schiffer who was really lovely, down to earth and friendly.
Paul Weller was also very nice and not at all arrogant. Roger Moore was very polite. I'd love to meet Jack Nicolson and Anthony Hopkins though....they are such legends and I'm so curious to know what they are like in real life. |

Jason Donovan was lovely when I met him. He couldn't have been more pleasant, and seemed genuinely surprised that someone would be star-struck at him! Michael Buerk was lovely too. He was posing for photos and signing autographs and ignoring his production team, who were telling him to move along.
![]() Denise Welsh is one of the nastiest women I've ever met. I had the mis-fortune of bumping into her in a shop and she looked at me as if I had just asked her for a kidney. I then spoke to her at work; (I work in a call center); she said who she was straight away, and seemed annoyed when I didn't do what she wanted just cos it was her, even though it was against the rules of the company. Very nasty woman; so up herself.

Matt Willis was lovely. Met him at a signing just after I'm A Celeb finished, and I jokingly told him off as he'd ignored me last time I saw him (though I'm sure he just hadn't heard me) and he was so lovely and apologetic.

I think most people who were in the front line didn't go away disappointed and he was shaking hands and posing for photos as well. He's clearly very fan savvy and knows exactly how to handle it all.

Haven't met Anthony Hopkinks but Jack Nicholson is lovely. He snubbed the press (bet they were seething!

As you said earlier too, no matter what people think of Tom Cruise, he always takes time out to spend ages with the fans..... and that's really good of him. Anita Dobson is a really nice woman too.... very sweet. I met Keely Hawes briefly too.... she seems very nice, as does the Scottish actress, Shirley Henderson. I also met the British director, Justin Kerrigan, recently. He directed Human Traffic..... a very nice guy. I've remembered one I wasn't too keen on but it was only the way he came across..... Nick Moran. He seemed very arrogant. |

Or you just get around famous people who are too up themselves! From what I've heard, the A listers and B listers are the nicest..... it's the other non-entities who think they're Gods gift who are the worst.

The nicest "celebrities" I've met/know have been people from the cast of Xena, especially Adrienne Wilkinson who played Eve. Amber Benson from Buffy was really lovely.
I don't think I've met a not nice celebrity, although I was a little disappointed when I met Sharon Osbourne last year because I had been sooooo looking forward to that. John McCririck (spelling!?) was surprisingly super nice, come to think of it. |

Speaking of which, John Simm is another who deserves a mention for being nice. He hates the celebrity side of the acting business but he still takes the time to give autographs and pose for photos. Good of him to do it even though he'd probably rather poke forks in his eyes! |

Jonny from Avenue is the nicest I've ever met. Sooooo friendly, sweet and doesn't mind pictures being taken
Anthony Hannah (Ex-Eton Road member) is nice too. Always chats to you and signs things for you. Lorna Luft was nice too. She wasn't well, but still had time to talk. Lisa Scott-Lee is sooooooooooooo nice!!!! Really chatty and lovely. Claire from Steps wasn't very nice. She looks at you like s*** on her shoe... As much as I love Mickey Rooney... he was a bit.... grumpy lol his Wife was lovely tho. xx |

A few years ago at the Goodwood Festival of Speed I saw George Lucas completely ignore a young boy who approached him for his autograph. Fair enough if he didn't want to sign anything, but he could have at least acknowledged him
. I didn't even know who he was until my friend told me .I met John Craven at a village fete many moons ago and he seemed very nice. I remember my dad knew somebody who was doing some building wotk at Cilla Black's house back in the 80's and he was told she was an absolute cow. To be honest I wasn't really that surprised even back then, as she has always seemed to be rather false. I have always thought the same about Barbara Windsor, Lulu and Julie Goodyear. |

Brian May and his wife 'Angie' were really lovely people. Also met actor Greg Kinnear...he was really nice too. Can't think of anyone I didn't like.
Oh yes I can, but I can't remember his name, hehe. However he seemed to think my friend and I should have known exactly who he was. We didn't. And still don't. I have met Brian and Anita too and they were absolutely delightful, so unassuming and happy to chat us starstruck fans for ages. We met them in the bar at a theatre where Anita was appearing, and they actually seemed more interested in chatting to us than doing the 'celeb' thing with her co-stars in the play! |

Nice:
John Shea (Lex Luthor from Lois and Clark) - possibility the nicest actor I've met, intelligent, great storyteller and he's very, very funny. John Barrowman – he was lovely to the kids, so that's a tick in the box for me. Colin Morgan (Merlin) – seemed really chuffed that people were actually watching the show! Some of the things he was saying was a bit cliché and all very proper and correct, but he did seem very enthusiastic and he was very smiley and chatty. Cheryl Baker – I thought she might be a bit flakey, but she was very warm and down to earth. Not so nice: Vanessa Feltz – as she was walking down the street she started saying very loudly 'No autographs! No autographs!' No one had approached her as far as I could see. To me, it was a little bit arrogant to be saying 'no' before anyone had asked, and people only noticed her when she opened her mouth! Just left a bad impression. Jacinta Stapleton (Amy Greenwood from Neighbours) – so stuck up and diva-ish it was unbelievable. Graham Norton – nothing particularly nasty, but he was a little curt. |

I can't help noticing that some of these meetings were when the celeb was on duty (signing, official meets, performing etc) whereas others were spotted in the street, met whilst fm was at work, whatever.
Perhaps some of those who seemed nice in the former circs might be absolute horrors if met in the second. You'd have to be an idiot not to put on a smiling face when scheduled to meet your fans. The horrors always come across as the most interesting in my opinion. Although I suppose I mightn't feel that way if I was the one doing the meeting..... ![]() I haven't met anyone famous myself.

I didn't mean yours alone, I meant generally on the thread, which I'd just read from the beginning.
