Disappointed with that, when we met him he was actually lovely, took a long time to chat, must have been about 45 min and I think i left before he had finished chatting to people, I got my photo with him and some autographs, i thought he was lovely, and it was a cold night after a show in Aberdeen.
I've been lucky enough to never meet anyone who i thought was particularly nasty but my favourites are:
Fish - Ex-Marillion singer, because a friend after meeting him several times at his gigs, top bloke, cab be a bit moody sometimes but in geenral very good with his fans, and spending time with him has shown me why people/celebs get moody they never get a moments peace often, and he's hardly an A lister anymore, so I imagine how bad it must be for the others.
Sylvester McCoy - met him outside a pub in Edinburgh and ended up going for a drink or two with him, really liked him, he was funny, and he is my favourite Dr so i really appreciated meeting him.
Meat Loaf - he was good, it was cold so invited us all into the backstage area to meet him and get autographs etc.
Roger Taylor - Ex Queen Drummer, he was a lot of fun and came across really nicely.
Carol Smillie - was very good, chatty and as bubbly as you would expect.
Phil Jupitus, Graeme Garden, Barry Cryer and Tiim Brooke Taylor - came out and signed our tickets after a recording of 'I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue', Rob Brydon who was the chairman, sadly swept passed us and sat in the car as they all signed for a while.
Bruce Watson - Big Country guitarist - had a great night chatting to his wife and son and occasionally him one night full of fun anecdotes.
Joe Walsh - real gentleman, could tell he didnt enjoy that side of things but he was very gracious.
Paul Darrow - Realy nice, was so pleased to be recognised as Avon from Blakes 7 signed with relish and took lots of time to chat.
I found Dave Prowse to be OK but I was interviewing him at the time, same as Jeremy Bulloch, and Peter Mayhew. The best of that lot was the late great Michael Sheard who was a legend.
Ray Harryhausen - someone I had admired for a long time and I ama real fan of, he was so nice, so passionate, even in his 80's and just came across so well.
There have been many others but these are the ones who stood out, honourable mentions must go to: Marillion, Cozy Powell, Ian Hunter, Stuart McBride, Asia, Ray Wilson (ex-genesis/Stiltskin) and Cerys Matthews.
The two people i would have loved to have met was the late great Oliver Postgate and the newly late Nicholas Courtney.
