Helen Mirren - Lovely and chatty. Interested in what it was I was doing (she came to where I worked)
I met David Essex a load of times when I was a kid.. my mother used to drag me around to all his concerts.. he was great fun and even knew us by our names. I met all the formula 1 drivers last year at British Gran Prix. Most of them were quite reserved but I put that down to nerves about the race. Schuey snubbed me :'c |

A drama teacher and some of the drama students at my school were on a trip to New York a few years back. They went into a chapel in New York when who else but Piers Brosnan was in praying. For some bizarre reason, the teacher decided to ask him for an autograph (in the middle of a chapel
) and was told to kindly f**k off by Mr. Brosnan ![]() |

I met The Saturdays at a signing in Glasgow last week. They had been signing for over an hour and yet by the time I got to them they were still smiling and asking everyone how they were. Mollie, Vanessa and Rochelle in particular had big grins on their face and tried to make conversation with me but I was too starstruck to say anything other than "I LOVE YOU".

Nice
Alesha Dixon - Lovely, spent a few hours with her as her then boyfriend after her Harvey split was in a band I was promoing for. Really down to earth girl and a good laugh with it. Aiden (Band) - Not really into their music but could see that they cared about their fans and were really lovely guys. Trent Reznor- NIN...lovely and very thankful of the people who have put him there where he is. Despite his fame he's quite unassuming. Ex Let Loose Singer Richie Wermerling - Really lovely guy who is thankful for everything. Nasty Charlie Simpson (Ex Busted/Fightstar)...was hardly bothered about doing a meet and greet to a bunch of teamers who had been handing stuff out for hours with no pay to promote his band and decided he'd rather stay on the tourbus after being at the venue for hours. Really arrogant and quite stand offish to the people that were doing the best to help his band...needless to say I didn't stay around for their gig. |

I met Nina Persson, lead singer of The Cardigans, at a concert years ago. She was lovely and gave me her hair band!
I have also met Dennis Waterman. His wife Pam Flint's daughter lived in the apartment below me. He was very nice whenever I saw him. Finally, not very interesting but I walked past Max Clifford whilst shopping several weeks ago and he smiled! |

Wow, this thread is almost four years old! well, I'm Aussie and my late dad was a musician who worked with a few famous showbiz and Hollywood types when they toured Oz and here's his take (to the best of my memory) on what he thought of them...
Ethel Merman - toured Oz in the 60's and he said she was awful in every way possible that a person could be. Tony Martin - singer/actor of the 30s and 40's (husband of dancer Cyd Charisse....very nice bloke who enjoyed a drink with the band muso's after rehearsals. Nat King Cole - toured Oz in the early 60s....a real pro an down to earth but he was not very well, in the early stages of the cancer that would kill him. Natalie Cole was only a teen and she sat in on the rehearsals, clearly very close to her dad despite what she claimed later on. Frank Sinatra - dads favourite because he always acknowledged his backing muso's after rehearsals and spoke to them personally. Dad said he was a genuinely nice and easy going person, and when dad told him I was only a toddler he told dad to spend as much time with me as possible as 'kids grow up so quickly'. Nancy was a young girl at the time and mum sat behind her at the show, had a row of bodyguards on either side of her. Dad said he came across as very much a fond dad. Shirley Bassey - diva, diva, diva...very hard on the band muso's if they weren't up to her standards. He saw her reduce a young drummer to tears, sacked him on the spot. He said every gesture she does during a song is choreographed to the note. I met Mel Gibson several times before he did Mad Max and lived in Sydney, went to this Lutheran orthodox church, asked my friends sister out on a date and she turned him down...he gets his oddness from his father. |

This is going back a few years, it was when the second Daniel Craig Bond film was out, the name escapes me. My twelve-year-old godson's parents were out of the country at the time so I was looking after him and we were walking down a quiet street in East London when Daniel Craig came walking out the side door of a photography studio and pretty much bumped into me.
My godson was utterly shocked and in excitement just shouted "JAMES BOND!" and asked for a photo. Daniel Craig grinned and then immediately apologised, saying he'd just finished a photo shoot and had a car round the corner ready to take him to a meeting that he was already massively late for. He was very polite and both me and the godson told him not to worry about it. We carried on walking and a minute later felt a tap on the shoulder and he'd run round the corner, told his driver to wait, ran back and happily posed for a photo and signed an autograph. Very nice bloke, I was impressed. |

I would say the girls aloud off the record documentry is the closest you will get to knowing what she is like. However the documentry was 6 years ago before her huge fame so she may have changed. |

My sister is getting married on Saturday and our make-up artist who worked in media doing makeup for celebs and Ch4 programmes, encountered lots of famous people, the only ones I'd know ar Olly Murs,Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton.
She did a spray tan for Olly and said he's absolutely lovely, exactly how he is on the TV. Likewise with Geri, incredibly down to earth, warm and genuine. I was v surprised however that she had a negative experience with Emma Bunton. She had a massive entourge of her own private hairdresers and make-up artists(about 42 in total!!) And said she was a right diva and prima donna. So,that's my 2 cents

Met Sue Perkins, Alan Davies & Ross Noble last night.
Sue was delightful, we talked for ages about cakes and baking, gave me & hubby a kiss on the cheek when she left. Alan Davies was clearly tired, but nice and polite, Ross Noble was also funny & nice. Had pics taken with all three

Nicest was Liam Gallagher, really lovely guy who chatted away, drunkest were Westlife and my worst was Lulu...ugh she was just awful, completely up her own arse and tried to get access to business class lounge with an economy ticket. I sent her packing ! She tried the old classic " do you know who i am ? " and i said " no but i know thats an economy ticket so you cant have access to the lounge " |
