Right, I can see this thread going down quicker than a led balloon but might aswell give it a try...

I'll be the first to admit that I love Louis and I think he gets alot of abuse by the public for no certain reason.

He is always slagged off for his decisions, especially this week and last when people say he is just trying to get rid of Simon's acts and he is spiteful (forgetting that Cheryl and Danni also voted against Simon's act).

The panel wouldn't be the same without him and his rivalry with Simon is great. The X Factor wouldn't be the same without Louis' pathetic (and often hilarious) attempts to upstage Simon and embarrass him. I love how his comebacks are never good and Simon just gives him a confused look.

He's just like an embarrassing grandad!

I guess he's marmite really...

I'm gonna agree with you too, ok i don't love him... but i think he's good at what he does and doesn't deserve all the public hatred!!!
For god's sake the man brought us boyzone and Westlife - the two biggest irish boybands!!!! and who doesn't love them(ok, i know a lot of people don't - but i for one love Westlife!)
But louis doesn't derserve the abuse he gets - he's almost like your embarrassing uncle!

He's funny without trying and I love him. Not in a perverted way. He's old enough to be my grandad.

Hurray! 3 Louis fans...

He always backed Robert in series three, and saved him when he was in the bottom two so that's one of the reasons why I like him.

Oh cool, Im glad someone started this!

I love Louis - I think he adds a good balance to the panel. He does seem to genuinely enjoy it and has a laugh with it - like the JLS promo thing he did last week - would ANY of the other mentors have done something like that? I think not.

Oh and a heads up for Louis fans - he is on Alan Carr's Celebrity Ding Dong on Friday night - looking forward to that!!

Louis' always on shows like Ding Dong, The Graham Norton Show and Paul O' Grady. He really loves the show and always has praise for it.

Yay, a Louis thread

I love Louis and think he's great fun. He's genuinely witty and he doesn't take himself too seriously and has a laugh

If he wasn't there how dull would it be?

As we saw at the start of Series 4.

I think Louis has improved a lot over the last couple of years with his critiques of the contestants. He's more liable to give them some hard truths than he used to be and I have to say I prefer him like that. It's almost as if he's taken some of the burden of being brutally honest off Simon's shoulders. I've noticed that Simon is a bit more biased and sometimes just plain dishonest in his critiques this year and last year. I think he's fed up of always being the nasty one, to be honest. I also like the Simon/Louis slagging matches. It was actually one of the things that got me interested in following the show to begin with!

Yeah absolutely. It makes me laugh he was meant to be "offended" with Dermot for the "gay jibes" but held up the heat magazine to the camera he had been ogling with topless JLS pics - its moments like that when we NEED Louis to lighten things up! He knows how it works and plays the game well .

He's an annoying little worm lol but I love him on XF- or rather I love to hate him! But his childish embarrassing banter with Simon is pure Pantomime and is part of the show!

LOL!! Why does everyone think Louis is little?? He is as tall as Simon (and Simon wears stacked heals remember ).

I just voted for Louis in the "Your Weird Celebrity Crush" poll on Heat mags website - I think I may need serious help...

It's an appreciation thread. Start your own dissing thread if you must!

I love Louis, I think he is hilarious - not so much on X factor, but on the other bits.
1) Louis limericks
2) Him on that bus in the JLS sweater with a loud speaker
3) My personal favourite - his weird obsession with Dominic Byrne from the Chris Moyles show and how he keeps texting him when he's drunk

as he would say "I like it"

Louis and Sharon laughing at that jockey woman last year is probably my most favourite X Factor moment of all time!
