Hi,
Will a Blu Ray DVD player, in terms of picture quality, benefit all HD TV's?
I have a 42" Panasonic Viera (Panasonic-Viera-TH-42PX60B - 1080i and not 1080p) which is about 2 yrs old and i am in the market for a Blu Ray Player but wanted to make sure that i will see the awesome picture quality blu ray offers.
When i see the blu ray dvds in places like comet they have them linked up to the latest TV models so i am not sure if the improved picture quality is down to the newer model TV (i.e. 1080p) or the blu ray player (probably both i suspect).
Apologies if this is a stupid question.
EDIT: Basically what i am asking is - Is there any point in getting a blu ray player for a 1080i HD TV?
