Strictly meets Children in Need

I've just been reading about the Children in Need show on Friday 14th and it says:

Other highlights include a special edition of Strictly Come Dancing in which the show's presenters will team up with professional dancers for a live dance-off. Look out for surprise judges on the night!

It looks like Bruce and Tess will actually have to do a dance instead of that silly little bit they do in the show every week

I wonder what pros they will be dancing with

Yes Tess said on SCD several weeks ago that she was dancing with Anton.

Tess is dancing with Anton, it's already been mentioned. Poor Anton. He should start by showing her how to step side-to-side in time with the music so she can do that bit at the top of the show with Bruce. Walk before you can run, Tess, walk before you can run....

Wonder why the voting money is no longer going to CIN?

I used to vote because I thought it was in a good cause, but now I can't be bothered. Do you think many others feel the same way, or am I alone?

From next week’s Radio Times

Following concerns about the use of premium-rate telephony in programmes, in January the BBC changed its policy on the circumstances under which it could raise money for charity. The BBC now ensures that there’s a much closer link between programmes and charitable appeals. Only programmes specially commissioned as part of charity fundraising may use premium-rate telephony to raise money for BBC charitable causes. This means Strictly Come Dancing can no longer raise funds directly for BBC Children in Need. (The BBC makes no profit from the telephone votes.) However, the show maintains close links with Children in Need, as you will see on Children in Need night on Friday.

Thanks for that, Golden A. I hadn't seen that, but then I don't read the Radio Times.

I'm guessing the surprise judges are previous Strictly celebs? That would make sense but I wonder who they would ask back?

Personally, I would love to have seen Craig, Arlene, Bruno and Len dance for CIN and the pros scoring them!

I don't think you're alone Kaycee, I would think a lot of people are feeling the same way.

Last year I voted tons but I favoured one person and I knew the money was for a good cause. This year I have wanted to vote for a few people each week but haven't because I know it'll cost a fortune and I can't feel better for it going to charity because it's not.
