A possessed cat?
Moll Flanders
04-11-2008
My mum works with a woman who she says is.... a little odd. A week ago, she (the odd woman, not my mum) and her husband adopted a cat from the RSPCA. They have just taken it back because.........it kept staring at them, and they made the automatic assumption that it was possessed. Well, you would, wouldn't you?! But honestly, they're serious! This woman said she couldn't keep it any morel; they were too scared of it.

You couldn't make it up...........

My sentiments exactly!

The kitty probably felt more freaked out by those idiots staring at him/her!

My two sit and stare at me quite often too (usually when they want fed, which with my two greedy cats is all the time)

Maybe I should call in an exorcist

Seriously, I hope they realise now that pet ownership is not for them, if they allow themselves to be so ridiculously freaked out by an animals normal behaviour!

Yep, my cat sits and stares at me. She's also quite partial to a bit of 'floor staring'. Sits there and stares at the same bit of floor for a good half hour!

Cats often sit and stare. It is perfectly normal. How else does your Mother's acquaintances think they catch mice?

I'm being given the evil eye right now. However, if you've seen his photobucket shots, I think you'll agree he's not possessed. Nothing so white and fluffy would be chosen. Our other cat, that's different. She's huge and black with orange eyes. Definitely some witches familiar, but we don't care.

Some people just don't understand Cats!

Edit - I have a Black Pyewhacket who sits on my lap, stares at me and squeaks when I fuss him! His Tabby bro sits in front of the TV ONLY when nature programmes or Top Gear is on!

lol, my Lyra is always staring at me. Sometimes she half peeks round the door, staring at me. It's quite freaky I suppose, especially when it's night time

But, honestly! Silly woman!

Sounds like normal behaviour from a cat to me. I used to stare back at my cat then close my eyes for a while, then when I opened them his eyes were closed too It was cute.

I can't tell if THIS cat is possessed or simply terrified.

Whichever it is remember to turn your speakers down or you'll have the neighbours reporting you to the RSPCA!

Maybe they did have a home check, failed, and the rspca man gave them a stuffed cat.

I have a stuffed badger and it stares at me all the time.
