It costs £3/MB for use within the EU and £6/MB for the rest of the world.
You can also buy data bolt ons for usage abroad at the following prices: £20 for 10mb £50 for 50mb So my advice would be not to bother - it's expensive. Unless you actually need it for business etc it's prohibitively costly. To put that in perspective, if you wanted to download an average 3 minute song from iTunes say it would be around 3MB of data. So it would cost you £9 just in data costs. |

Much better off going to an internet cafe or hotel business suite where it will be more like £1 for half hour's use of broadband.
I would use a travelsim and set my UK sim to forward calls to that number and leave my UK phone at home. |

I don't think you understand.
Data is what you need to be worried about An email, a webpage, youtube - they all use data. In fact emails use very little data as they are just text. You just want to browse the web whilst you are away right? DO NOT BOTHER. You will receive a huge bill, and I mean it could be very very easy to spend hundreds (perhaps even thousands) of pounds. That's how expensive it is - you have been warned. |

Its just occured to me that the OP could be talking about taking his BlackBerry abroad or could be talking about taking mobile broadband abroad. The charges are quite different.

Indeed given that if he needs "stop receiving emails" he must have push email rather than something like POP access.
I re-iterate my advice - do not take your mobile broadband abroad with you. |
