Sony Ericsson K850i
Really like the look of this handset
![]() However, have read numerous bad reviews about the touchscreen buttons and the phone switching itself off at regular intervals. Are there still problems or have SE fixed the problem? Found the phone for £150 on PAYG which seems reasonable for a phone of that spec. I currently have the Nokia 6500 Slide, which I hate, so would anyone recommend upgrading to the K850 or suggest another handset around the same price. |

I still thing Sony Es are some of the best phones on the market, stable, reliable and very easy to use! I had the K850i and never had any issues with it... did exactly as it said on the tin... |

I've had both iPhones, Samsungs, HTC Touch, K810i, K800i, C902 and a couple of Nokias...

I wouldn't recommend the K850 to anyone unless the firmware has been sorted 100%. Although an excellent phone when working its reliability as atrocious!

I had that before i got my iPhone.
It's a lovely handset and really nice to use. I had two problems : 1) Phone did switch itself off every few days. 2) Sometimes when I turned on the camera, the lens cover didn't open and so my camera would just show black. . . .turning it off and back on would be the solution to that though. |

It's a good phone but the camera is abysmal unless you're in perfect clear daylight. Do not expect anything as good as the pictures you'd get from the N95. The flash is next to useless even though it's a Xenon.

My early K850i broke down but it had only been out 2 months.
I know some people with newer models still working perfect. For pictures I'd choose it due to the Xenon flash which the slightly updated C902 doesn't. I owned a Nokia N95, Samsung G600 and K850i and at the time the K850i was the winner in 5MP pictures however the N95 won on video. I have since gone back to Sony Ericssons and own the new C905. So I would recommend it. |
