Replacement iPod earphones?
I have had a Shuffle for about a year and my earphones for it (or what ever they are called) have pretty much died, the rubber on the outside has worn off so they don't sit very well in the ear. I am looking for a new pair and have heard Skullcandy are good but they are very expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good, comfy and cheap pair similar to the iPod ones?

skull candy aren't really good. they are just cheap.
go to head-fi.org they have far more information. and ipod headphones are a pretty low standard, so if you buy half way decent headphones you'll be in for a nice improvement. |

A set of Seinheisser CX300 is a good mid-range choice, pay < than £20 online, beware of rip-off high street prices..I saw them in PC World for £30 !

If you want cheap, they are not going to be very good. It's worth spending a bit more on them if you use your ipod everyday.
But as someone else mentioned, good mid-range ones are the sennheisers, but the best ones are the in ear bang & olufsen's but they really are pricey... |

Amazon.com (the US version) has some recommendations for upper-end headphones

I would recommend the Sennheiser CX300 as well. Their reviews are pretty good and you can have them for £16 at amazon. They are mid-range but good-value.

Avoid the JVC Marshmallow ones, very tinny and the volume is only about half what you get with the iPod earphones.
£14, don't waste your money. |

I got a pair of the Sennheiser CX300 that got quite a few suggestions and they are great, with them in it really cuts down background noise and the sound is great. Even better is that I got them for £16!
