Fabulous addition to the show.

Not only a great dancer but an artist that shares her love of her craft to all.

Yes, she's a fabulous dancer and has been amazingly patient and kind to John - hope to see her next year.......but next week????????

This is a DANCE competition as well as entertainment and now we are over the half way stage we should be enjoying the best dancers not losing them because Kristina and John are still with us.

She said that though, so why did you feel like reiterating it.

It is an entertainment show.

Go and see a proper dance competition if you want a proper dance competition, this is an entertainment show in which people dance.

So true! I think she a great new addition to the show. she's has this warm and lovely personality, and she's one hell of a dancer. I think it is really something to adjust herself to John's pace. You can see how brilliant she actually is when she's dancing with the other professionals. I really do hope she's in next years Strictly.

She has used the technology of the internet to her advantage with posts on here etc and I think she has been the star of this series in many many ways. I am so looking forward to seeing her on the SCD live tour.

Her music choices have also been inspired too in my view......I was singing Mamma loves mambo for several days after the Samba.”

agree totally with your post. Kristina has been wonderful with John and great with her pro dancing group routines. She has a smile on her face all the time and shows up some of the regular pro's. Hope she is there next year with a young fit partner to show off what she is capable off.

I agree that john is terrible and good dancers are going out but after all, its an entertainment show and I also think that people might be voting not just for john but to keep kristina in too! So I dont think its all johns fault that they are still in....people like kristina too and must be voting for her. The judges are quick to rip into john but people will probably pick up the phone to vote just to *iss them off.

PS also loving brian and enjoy their pro dancing.

I didn't see much evidence of a warm heart towards John last night.

Love Kristina's dances with Brian.

Today a Daily Mail article featured Kristina's story as colourful and warm as a samba in Rio. Raised in freezing Vladivostok as Gorbachev and Yeltsin's Russia crumbled around her, at 21 this platinum blonde achieved a Masters degree. Invited to Seattle in 2001, three years later this new arrival made it into Dancing with the Stars. In 2004 she was a Blackpool Festival Finalist, and in 2007 Semi-finalist. She has known Lilia since she was a teenager.

Quote:
“"By having him on the show", said Kristina, "they are sending out the message that dancing is good for everybody. He looks younger and healthier now."”

Quote:
“
Kristina, who will join the other dancers in a tour of Britain in February and hopes to be invited back for next year's TV series, adds:

"The show isn't really about dancing. It's a Saturday night entertainment show. We are still in it because we want to have fun. A lot of people feel they can relate to John. Women love his kindness and he is pure entertainment. He jokes about being a sex symbol. I tell him I don't think we women know what we want when it comes to men."”

Yes lets keep one thread happy at least. Here is Saturday's cha cha cha, now played on YouTube over 6,000 times featuring golden girl and including "the best twist I ever saw on TV", said Lilia on ITT tonight:

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your sweet messages. You are all so kind and welcoming. It's because of this that London feels like a second home to me.

I am so happy to be dancing with John. We love working together and truly have a ball every time we perform. We hope you enjoy our American Smooth on Saturday.

I simply can't thank you enough for your support.

Kristina (and Brian)

Hope you have a great time at Dukinfield on Sunday. Its a great venue for dancing (although very difficult to find (if you drive)).

Kristina - agree with the others, you have been a breath of fresh air and great for the show this year (and I hope it continues for a bit longer!)

St Kristina of Rihanoff, you are now officially an honorary British citizen!!!

Well, we all feel like we don't want to let you leave our shores, but I for one so hope you'll be back on SCD next year along with Brian, you've both been great.

Of the 3 newcomers I have really taken to her in a big way. She is so caring and patient with John but when she dances with the other professionals she is spectactular

I wonder if K&J have seen the Facebook group supporting JS? I thought she was amazing first time I saw her - my OH and I just said 'Marilyn Monroe' (but K's much nicer!)

I really don't understand this tremendous obsession with Kristina. She does absolutely nothing for me. How much surgery has she had I wonder? She certainly looks very plastic. And as for being warm, well I bet that warmth gets turned on and off like a tap. Certainly seems to happen in the times she thinks the camera's not watching her. The word "fake" leaps to mind every time I see her.

That's as may be, but do you have to inject nastiness into our thread? We love Kristina - or the public persona she is offering us, her Monroe look shows both warmth and humour and her dancing likewise, with tons of talent thrown in.

Please don't spoil our thread, it's so unnecessary.

The physical demands of this dance are truly Olympian. I was exhausted just from watching it.

Awww, thanks - I do know it's there, but isn't it a shame, YouTube quality (lack of). However, you just got me watching it again and I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat

If anyone's got the Episode 6 results show on DVD, I'll buy it off 'em happily.
