Well, if by personality you mean smug, patronising and self-satisfied then he will be in the final.

If by entertainment, you mean watching someone waddle around like a toddler, then he will win.

No doubt there will be idiots still voting for him. Small-minded people who feel powerful by voting for rubbish because that's the only power they have in their pitiful little lives.

imo all of the other couples are more entertaining as well as better.

I appreciate that John won't be everyone's cup of tea, but is there really any need to insult his supporters?

Lighten up a bit and learn some forum etiquette.

Oh please get a sense of humour!

His dance tonight had me and my family in tears of laughter. It really made my day in fact. Yes he is rubbish, but he knows he is rubbish. He's just having fun.

I much prefer him to smug teachers pets Tom and Rachel and Cherie.

I don't think its neccessary to be abusive about people who voted for him do you?

I like John but it's the lack of variety in his performances as much as the lack of quality that puts me off.

I don't want him knocking out any of the remaining couples.

Voters can vote for who they want for whatever reason they want though.

I agree he should go tonight but to be fair what else is he meant to say in response? The guy has to keep positive, he can't sit there and say 'Yes, vote me out. I deserve to go.' Even if he thinks it. No one wants to leave.

I've posted this elsewhere tonight, but it seems it would fit here, too...

Cherie - poise... grace.... extensions.... very bendy for someone in their 90s... blah blah blah... but she's BORING to watch and can't do dances unless they're slowwwwwww.

The judges seem to adore her and mark her high no matter what she does - even forgetting her steps and stumbling. At least John's never done that....

There is no need to call people idiots.
Please make your points without being rude.

Again I have to point out that Rachel has never topped the leader board in six attempts. An inconvenient fact perhaps.

You can't stick the 'smug teachers' pet' label on her.

That's spectacularly harsh.

Or people who have the temerity to disagree with you and actually do find him entertaining?

Calm down dear. It's only a tv show.

You have got the cheek to talk about Johns personality, then you go & say the above. It doesn't say much for your personality.

Its hard to fall over when your walking around a dance floor instead of dancing

I'm no Cherie fan but your can't compare the 2 I find John boring I prefere someone to at least try to dance

I think John should go yes. But if people want to vote for him because he's entertaining them then thats their choice, its their money they spend on voting for him. You can't call them idiots for that.

I love John I think he's charming, but I don't want Heather to go before him.

I seem to remember the OP was spitting bile about John last week. I seriousley think they need to calm down. Firstly because its only a TV show not a matter of life and death and secondly calling other forum members 'idiots' is plain rude.

The judges don't seem to have learnt anything from their Emma Bunton obsession - it winds the public up when they overmark their favourites while absolutely slaughtering the worst dancers so as to force them out. And getting angrier and angrier, and more and more openly abusive of the ones who keep getting away, only makes it worse. I'm amazed they still don't seem to realise how clumsy their tactics are.

As for John, well, I prefer to keep the funny ones in ahead of the dullest, but since Foster's gone the point has sort of faded. He's had a good run, made me laugh every week and now the competition will get more intense.

The public can vote for who they like they have a whole set of considerations like the total inequality of the celebrities right from the off, their age and guess what how personable they are. John qualifies for all those regardless of your assessment. The BBC likes to fix everything trouble is now that regulators have become more interested in reality shows then they have to take what the public says.
Who exactly are you to decide they're idiots just because they don't do what you like?

Oh noes, someone has their knickers in a twist because not everyone agrees with princess Pammi. What is the world coming to?

I voted for him because to be honest, I'm started to get a little bored with it. Can't even believe I'm feeling that way. John's not the best dancer by a long shot but he enjoys it. I thought Lisa & Brendan danced really well, but did I detect a little unhappiness from Brendan because they didn't get a ten.

Don't forget Brucie always says'vote for your FAVOURITE'.

Oh god yes Emma Bunton! One of the most overated people ever to appear on this show.

Remember how they brought in the dance off to manipulate it to keep Emma in the show, robbing Louisa Lytton of a place in the final three when she was the better dancer.

They will never learn and their favourtism is starting to piss me off.

Oh quick are the phone lines still open.....I want to be and idiot with a small mind who has nothing better in my small little life.

'Thanks for calling SCD you have voted for John and Kristina' thats better I like being a small minded idiot. ......if you hadnt annoyed me Pammi I might not have voted for John tonight.

I think the overmarking argument is a bit of a red herring as far as this thread is concerned. Are people arguing that John would be higher up the leaderboard if others were not overmarked?

Getting back to the argument, its everyone's perogative to vote for who they like. Personally I wouldn't vote for John even on an entertainment basis because, as said earlier, there is a lack of variety in his performances. But each to his own I suppose.
