Hi

ive just bought one of these excellent (for the money) unlocked mobiles but cant figure out how to send or receive pic messages.

It keeps trying to open/download and/or send them but comes up error all the time.
Ive tried everything i can think of but no joy.

Anyone have any ideas on this?

Just a thought, ive emailed the company also.

Any help appreciated

It sounds like either:

1) You don't have the correct settings on your phone.
2) Your account isn't set-up for MMS.

In either case you need to contact your service provider who can send the settings and check your account.

I don't understand why you would need to unlock a T-Mobile phone in order to use a T-Mobile SIM?

Anyway, As I said in my reply. You need to contact your service provider (T-Mobile) and get them to send you the settings for MMS, WAP (t-zones) and Internet (web'n'walk). Then to activate Picture Messaging you just need to send an MMS.

i did buy one of these from argos, it was on virgin. i did try to get it unlocked through virgin but at the time they did not have the unlock code as the phone had only just come out. it was not bad for the price, similar software to the samsungs. regards popp

Now I'm really confused, in your first post it was unlocked and now it isn't.

If the SIM from your other phone is T-Mobile then it won't have any effect. If the SIM is from a different network then you will need to get those settings sent and then switch between them when you switch SIMs.

I think you mean it was supplied Simfree, when it was supposed to be locked to T-Mobile.
Anyway, you need to contact T-Mobile to get the MMS settings and then send an MMS to activate picture messaging.

Try it to see, if you have no luck then I would take it into your local T-Mobile or independent phone shop. Ask them to set it up for you.
