I have no CA albums at all. I used to have stripped but it's gone walk abouts now.

Although despite saying i have no albums, i am a big fan.

I will deffo be buying her next album in the summer. I recieved a christina card with a sample of her perfume on a while back. I only really did it for the picture on the card.

While Back To Basics wasn't packed with hit songs, I really enjoyed it as an album. The first disc dragged on a little but the Circus themed one was very impressive. I always find Stripped a little bit of a chore to get through to be honest. The issue with both of these records it that less is sometimes more.

I already have 'Stripped', 'Back to Basic' and a few good old songs from 'Christina Aguilera' so theres no point in buying it!

Each to their own i suppose.

I think now was the perfect time for her to release this.

I think it's a good idea if it's to reignite interest in her while she works on a new album, but I don't think it was entirely necessary. Look how many singles and album's P!nk has released without resorting to a Greatest Hits. But when it does come around, it'll be something special worth celebrating. The fact Christina's left so many songs off renders it a bit pointless.

Well if we are to believe the rumours it was RCA and SonyBMG who pushed the greatest hits because she told them her album wouldn't be ready until next Summer and they were getting tired of waiting so long between releases and wanted something out this year.

But I agree. She has left off 5 of her hits which should have been on it.

For those who have the CD, are there any extended songs?

For example 'Keeps getting better', like they do with album versions?

Also, i wonder if the CD will chart quite good on sunday?

All radio edits as far as I can tell. The remix of Beautiful is about 5 minutes though.

The GH is 13 in midweeks. I think her lowest rating album ever in the UK! I blame the video myself for Keeps Gettin Better. It wasn't good enough in form of promotion. Simon should have had a Christina week instead of Mariah. It was all a push for her Ballads album he released and as Christina is on his label it makes more sense for him to have gone with her.

Anyway she seems more interested in her new album.

From DS

Quote:
“ Christina Aguilera has lined up a raft of established electro acts to collaborate with on her upcoming fourth album.

The singer is rumoured to have sought out the talents of British acts Goldfrapp and Ladytron to work on the follow-up to 2006's Back To Basics.

Aguilera has already confirmed that Zero 7 singer Sia will be working on the new record, telling Billboard: "I'm definitely a fan of Sia's. I was thrilled she also wanted to work together and, in turn, was a fan of mine."

She said the pair plan to record together in January, but are "setting the wheels in motion now... I'm not exactly sure what we're gonna get when we get in the studio together, but as with all great things I'll go in and there's probably magic to be had".”

Goldfrapp should be good. I'm pleased she is breaking away from Linda Perry a little.

I've just entered a competition on the UK CA site, it's to win all Christina's albums ever released etc, i hope i win!

I've been watching the video DVD. I can't believe how young she looks in the early videos!

I love the CD/DVD! got it today and am currently listening to Beautiful on the CD. I've watched the DVD, she looks so young in her videos like you said OD. She looks shockingly beautiful in the 'I Turn to you' video, i thought.

Love this CD. Worth the money IMO.

I really do not like the remastered/remixed (w.e) Beautiful.

There's no emotion and it sounds robotic. It's a bit weird. LOL.

I absolutley love christina pre-ordered her cd about 2 weeks ago and got it tuesday morning and ive been listening to it in my car, cant believe I turn to you is not on there though- one of my favourite ever songs from her, but the album is good but I wish she had released a double cd with every single hit.
I wish she had more sucess in the UK rather than bloody britney but she has a lot of die hard fans ive been to see both tours and got the dvds and she is amazing live.
Stripped is one of my fave albums of all time and I never get bored of listening to it , back to basics took me a few times to get into it but it is also very very good .,
The difference between Britney and Christina-baring in mind I love them both is (apart from the voice and singing live)
Christina can do ANY type of song, she proved that with the stripped album then moving onto the back to basics
I love her can't wait till she does ANOTHER world tour x

I Turn To You is on the cd? at least it is mine

Christina has actually had more number 1's in the UK than Britney. Just. Also think Stripped sold more than any Britney album too.

When Christina is driving the car in the Keeps Gettin' Better vid, it reminded me of the Something Kinda Oooh video

....or am I on my own completely???!

I agree, it does remind me of SKO.

After watching KGB video a few more times, i don't think it's as bad as i 1st thought. It is a great track though, shame it didn't get a few notches better in the chart...

Its cos Christina is sooo damn lazy to promote

Oh well, i hope she puts more effort to Milk her new song/album everywhere like Beyonce seems to be doing.

'Tis a shame her new music doesn't showcase her powerful voice.

Britney could have sung the new songs on her Greatest Hits CDs and it wouldn't have made a difference.

I think so much has changed in the music industry between Now and then (Christina's start).

For example, compared to now there wasn't as many singers as there are now, so that makes it harder.

And Christina has used off her vocals when she did Hurt, but it didn't do that well, which is a shame.

I've put the album on my Christmas list, and I'm resisting strongly the urge to download You Are What You Are (Beautiful) and Genie 2.0 as I've been listening to them a lot on YouTube. It took a while for YAWYA to grow on me, but now I absolutely love it.

I really liked Back to Basics; but I agree that the second disc was way better. The Enter The Circus/Welcome intro still blows me away, even two years later after it was released. I love how she takes time over her records as well.. three years in between each CA, Stripped and Back to Basics!

There's so much I could say about Christina, but I shall leave it on that and hope to get the discussion going.

It seems a long time ago that I was locking myself in my room and listening to Cruz full blast when I was twelve, and even longer ago recording What a Girl Wants off the radio onto cassette when I was about nine!

^ you brought back so many memories there. I used to do that, record songs on tape from the radio when i was little. Good times really.

The CD is brilliant, a great reflection back on christina's career. Also, make sure you get the DVD version too!
