I got the DVD version And i did the same. I remember listening to Walk Away over and over again when i was alot younger. Her vocals and emotion in that song I just love her for who she is and her music. Going through the DVD videos, just reminded me of how much i have grown up following her since i was like 9. and 13 when stripped came out i was obsessed with it.

Have you seen her recent performance of Beautiful amazing - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCIGsLwX3w0

Wow, what a passionate performance. I wasn't keen on the arrangement much, but that girl puts absolutely EVERYTHING into her performances and that in itself is absolutely fantastic. Her voice is faultless.

I'm hoping I get the DVD version. I've double underlined the (CD & DVD) part on my Christmas list, so I hope my mother can find it in the shops.. cause they just had the CD version in HMV at the weekend..

i really like Christina, she is certainly one of the best vocalists around. on her mtv show years ago, it stated she can hit 8 octaves.

Dirrty is probably my fave, along with Fighter and Genie in a Bottle.

Are you sure? New rumours say it won't be out until NEXT easter Apparently this movie role she has landed has made her put the album on hold.

I'm honestly sick of her taking so long with albums. Its beyond a joke now. If its put back then its going to sound dated by next year. The electro pop wave is 2009.

Completey agree. Alot of people hated the last album too (myself included) so it's been years since the last proper album! The record company should have said no to a themed album. It was far too early in her career to put a proper album on hold. Hurry the hell up!

I think she has an amazing voice. I have her stripped album and I think it's really good. I also have back to basics and like some of the songs on there. Im interested to see what she will bring out next. I also saw some of her last tour on the TV, she puts on a really good show.

Well apparently is seems it maybe November time after all. It looks like she is appearing on X Factor this year so that's a good sign. I guess we will have to watch for the line up at the VMA's in August to see if she is on the bill. If so then its a new single.

I hope so. I'd like for her to perform at the VMA's and do better than she did last year. Also x factor it would be soo good if the rumours are true She should be a mentor, she has the vocals to give advice lool

Bliddy hell that's spine-tingling. She certainly has a lot of power in her voice. This is from the Dirrty single isn't it?

My top 5 Xtina songs are;
#1 - Dirrty (the video )
#2 - Hurt (sad song)
#3 - Fighter (lyrics amazing)
#4 - Infatuation (Used to be my favourite)
#5 - I Turn To You (just for that note around the 3:30(?) mark)

Yep it is from the Dirrty single B-side

Yeah i used to love Walk Away but have listened to it a bit too much

Come on Over used to be my all time favourite from her debut album

WAGW i never really warmed to, maybe cos i'm male

IWB, i'm now in love with

Hurt, as i said is also spine-tingling. People say she overdid the vocals but thats one of the reasons why its chilling. Def the best on BTB

LOL Yep! Also i like Stripped the best out of everything she did, it is kinda annoys me soo much we only have 3 studio albums from her over a 10 year period! But Stripped i think still shits on any other female album that was done this generation!

It's such a complete album!

I love Stripped too. Can't believe it was critically panned though I think it was more to do with her raunchy and sexualised image though (which i loved).

It actually pains me to say it's one of the best due to Scott Storch and has tw*tiness towards Chris. GGGB by Rihanna certainly gives Stripped a run for it's money along with Bey's IASF, Pink's IND and Avril's UMS. Oh, and Breakway by KC.

I'd agree on GGGB but the rest <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Beyonce's songs to me are not evolving or showing any change. It still reminds me of B-day! And she doesn't seem to write any of her songs. She is nowhere as musically inclined as Xtina!

Tbf we don't know the full extent of her songwriting on IASF, but i'm sure she pens a lot of lyrics (except for IIWAB).
I think she has evolved more. DIL and BDay both featured heavy beats and 808s. IASF has changed direction. It's more about basslines and, well, a huge variety of things. But Xtina definitely has alot of artistic freedom. Let's not forget each of her albums had a theme and, unlike Britney, Chris broke away from teenage bubblegum pop princess and turned into a sexy diva!

Stripped was her best album. Europe, mainly the UK loved it but America are so tight arsed over anything sex that they couldn't take it. The sales of the album outway anything the critics had to say on it. Its one of the best albums this decade from a female artist.

New news. Her radio show launches tomorrow, so hopefully we might get some single and album news.

I know, America certainly missed out It went 7x Platinum over here i'm sure

I think it's ridiculous the US look down on women if they flaunt their legs or stomach but they don't mind men talking about sort of sex which shouldn't be heard on the radio Just take a look at the success of Stripped and the success of Flo Rida's Right Round Racist, sexist nation

As Xtina sings in CHUD "There's a common double standard in society; the boys cheer him on the more he can score, but if a girl does the same, they call her a whore"

I didn't start out a CA fan, but I bought an album as part of a discount and realised that her 'image' hadn't done her any favours - she was much more than a sexy woman, she really could deliver a vocal.

I have bought a couple of her other albums since and rate her highly as a performer as a result.

she follows the tradition of Pat Benetar and Cher in a way...
