Lucie from X factor sung Hurt last night. I was never fond of that song but people kept saying, you need to hear the words it's stunning. I never got round. But when Lucie sung it, it stayed in my head. After the x factor, i imported Hurt from the greatest hits I have of Xtina and i listened to it non stop.

I actually shed a tear. That's two songs from Xtina that have made me shed tears.

She really is doing herself no favours by delaying this album until the Spring. I hope we at least have a single pop up by December.

To be fair, Christina does take a while releasing her albums.

It was three years after her debut that Stripped came out and four years after that when Back to basics was released.

Sometimes it's best for artists to release an album when it suits them. I find most artists release albums for their fans, when really people should release an album they are proud of and feel now is the best time to release it.

I think Christina actually ****ed herself over after Stripped. She ruled the whole music scene during that era and left Britney miles behind. Then she moved onto a new style far too quickly and it cost her. What we should have had was Stripped 2.0 in 2004/05. This would have made her a solid presence. She sort of ruined herself. People regard her as a great voice but she would have been so much more had she not switched styles so quickly. I think this did damage her. Plus massive gaps in albums is something else. We know the new album is finished. Its just on hold for this movie, which I hate to say sounds like it has flop all over it. Its music people want from Christina. Not acting. She should not be treating her fans like this. Even Mariah and Madonna don't take this long between albums and they are the biggest selling female artists ever.

More album info - it's coming out next year guys!

Tricky Stewart has not only been busy working on new projects for Ciara, Rihanna, Diddy, and The-Dream, but also Christina Aguilera’s long-awaited fourth studio album. The producer with the Midas touch let Rap-Up.com in on a few secrets from his recording sessions with the pop princess.

“I’m working on Christina Aguilera’s album for next year,” Tricky told Rap-Up.com in an exclusive interview.

The follow-up to 2006’s Back to Basics has been described as a departure from her past efforts. “It’s just great. I wouldn’t say that it’s alternative, I wouldn’t say that it’s different,” he shared. “Christina’s always been an artist that moves the bar and that’s what the great ones do. They don’t stay in the same place for too long and this album is just another move for her.”

The hitmaking machine behind Rihanna’s “Umbrella” and Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” believes this album will take its place among Aguilera’s best work. “I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since Stripped. I think it’s really, really amazing and I think it’s well put together.”

The record has something for everyone. “She’s mixing it up again. She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle because she’s so many different things. She’s a real serious musician, she’s a real serious pop artist, and she’s a real serious singer. She’s making all her audiences happy at the same time.”

The mother of one had previously revealed a collaboration with M.I.A. “I know that she did it,” confirmed Tricky, “and I know that there’s a lot of other cool features, like I know that she has Santigold and Flo Rida on there.

Tricky enlisted the “Right Round” rapper for one of the cuts. “I put Flo Rida on my record because I love what he does. I think sometimes he doesn’t get credit for being as dope as he is, but he’s really dope.”

Fans will have to wait until next year for the album while the pop star focuses on Burlesque, her musical co-starring Cher. “She’s gonna do the film first. She didn’t want to not be able to promote this record because it’s gonna be a big record for her,” explained Tricky.

But rest assured that the futuristic-sounding project is on its way. “The album is finished. She’s mixing. She hasn’t made a final decision about what the first single is, but I know everyone feels good about their options.”

I'm really excited now even if i have to wait till next year to hear it, the album is shaping up to be great. Flo rida collabo is abit but let's hope his part is minimal as possible and the song is hot regardless.

Also really happy she is thinking about promoting the new album PROPERLY unlike with B2B.

She is taking it seriously. Filming the movie and promoting the album at the sametime. now that would have been suicidal!

I'm sick of waiting for her to release stuff. It had better be early next year.

Oh well, I guess the idea of having an album with the likes of Sia and Goldfrapp was too good to be true and now it's going to be ruined by the likes of Tricky Stewart.

The album is finished. Claude Kelly on twitter.com/claudekelly just confirmed it.

Argh, so now we just have to wait. I reckon if it's finished already the album will drop as soon as she finishes filming Burlesque.

Was that list of producers not true then? I really hope it was. I'm dying to hear what she may have done with Goldfrapp!

It is true, she is working with all those people, some have confirmed it themselves and the rest came from Xtina herself.

Apparently its an Easter 2010 release which makes it April. Sounds about right but then Wiki is never normally the best source! lol but then I can't see it being much later than that can you?

If its 100% done then the record company will not allow her to sit on it for too long incase it leaks online.

BUMP!! 2010 is just a day away and which means Xtina's new album is only a few months away from being released!!

Certain Japanese sites have posted the album is released March 3rd 2010, Sony Japan have also posted the same date release.

So we shall see

She is going to present at the Golden Globes along with CHER

"To continue having the best life ever" is her resolution for 2010, she said while hosting a New Year's party at Tao Las Vegas Thursday. "I paved the way for the work this year [2009].

Her 2010 is shaping up to be extremely active, with a new album on the way and her movie [Burlesque], costarring Cher, set to be released. The two of them will also be presenters at the Golden Globes on Jan. 17.

"The album is done, the movie I'm [still] filming," she said. "Doing film is a whole different animal … The schedule is grueling, but it's been really amazing and an incredible learning experience."

Of all the moments in 2009, the one that most sticks out, she noted, was seeing son Max, who turns 2 Jan. 12, celebrate Christmas – which she considers the highlight of the year.

"That was the best memory, his face and seeing his everything come to life with Santa," she says. "It was really amazing."
