I know this has always been questioned every series and I'm sure most people have noticed atleast one pattern emerging

The person who 'survives' the bottom two each week is more often than not always called out first if they have successfully avoided the bottom 2 the following week. Point in case last week - Daniel first after surviving bottom 2
This week - Rachel first after surviving bottom 2

However Have others detected another pattern?
I am now convinced the last three to be announced are exactly that..the bottom 3...
The front runners in each category JLS, Diana, Eoghan rarely are 'last to be called'
Last to be called in recent weeks have resulted in the following.
The week that Scott was eliminated, Austin was the last to be declared 'safe'
The following week..Austin went from being 'last to be declared safe' to bottom 2 and was subsequently eliminated
The last to be declared safe in Austins elimination week was... LAURA.
We all know what happened to poor Laura this week so it is my contention that that 'leak' is pretty much spot on. Next week should see Daniel (last to be declared safe) in the bottom 2.

I would imagine the weeks to come will see Daniel, Rachel Ruth and eventually Alexandra contesting the bottom 2though I think Alex is gathering momentum and is possibly a threat to the perceived top 3

If two of Danniis acts are not in the bottom 2 next week, I will be incredibly shocked

It was weird, Austin was near last 3 twice, and then on the week after he left. Laura was in the last 3 last week and then she left this week.

I think 'in no particular order' just means that the results aren't in voting rank.

It's obvious that they call out the names in a way designed to heighten the dramatic tension - which is absolutely fine for a TV programme to do.

What's the problem

Don't agree with these conspiracy theories at all.

But i do think they sometimes leave their favoured acts in the "bottom 3" (last 3) so they can frighten their fans into voting for them more the next week. We all know it is not the bottom 3 but it still has an affect on us.

Btw i missed the results, what order were they saved in?

Agreed, they just try and add to the drama of it all and 'no particular order' really just means as you said.

If I remember correctly they were saved in the following order:

Rachel
JLS
Alexandra
Eoghan
Daniel

Bottom 2: Ruth and Laura
Laura out.

What has been odd this year has been first 2 acts from the groups went, then 2 acts from the boys which means logically Alexandra or Diana are in serious trouble next week? The logic of that would be Ruth and Rachel going the following two weeks leaving say Alexandra, JLS, Eoghan and Daniel in the semi-final.

i reckon the last one to be called safe is generally the one who has received a slightly negative comments

after "go west" last year. rhydian was the last to be called safe after simon said he might not be safe because it was a crap song

last week, laura was last to be called safe and simon had slagged off her image

yesterday, daniel last to be called safe because he was the only one other than the bottom 2 who got negative comments
