Does it matter whether people vote for the voice, the personality or the sob story or because they fancy the act!

Some people vote tactically, some vote to annoy judges.

The 'X' factor is an indefinable quality that makes someone a star so it is not just about the voice.

Should we stop being so shocked and upset when those we consider to be not very good singers are still in the competition when so called good singers are kicked out?

Apparrantly, the 'X' Factor, is something truly amazing and likeable about the contestant that no one can put their finger on.

For me it's about singing and talent. Looks don't really come into, if you can sing and have talent, you get my vote

It's not just that Daniel and Eoghan can't sing...

it's the fact that they clearly aren't stars.

In practice, you might have 2 girls who are both young, pretty and have nice personalities and both have technically and traditionally strong voices. Then you have a third girl, whose voice isn't typically what we see, it doesn't have those big belting notes. I'm sure a voice coach would say that is isn't technically that strong.

The X Factor is why that third girl will sell more records than the other 2 combined.

For me the X factor is about all round entertainment, Singing ( it does not have to be the best voice as long as I like it), Dancng as a like a show not someone just sitting there and personality where they make me feel something its does not matter it its sadness, happyness, anger or laughter as long as they make me feel something then they have it.

Can you elaborate please, I don't quite understand

Do you mean that you think the x-factor = someone (who is cute) sitting or standing on stage?

Are they doing any singing by any chance or just posing?

He sung out of tune the other week, and he strains far to much when he sings, well tries to sing the big notes.

A good voice, a nice and strong personality, unique and original - that's what I would deem as the X Factor.
