From the two songs that she picked herself to sing - "Purple Rain" and "Knock...Heaven's Door", I think we have a good idea of the type of songs she feels most comfortable singing

Wouldn't this song by Def Leppard be good for her in next week's "Best of British"?

p.s, i thought of this because I thought she should have sung this on Mariah Carey night; it would have been a better song for her! (Mariah Carey covered this song so it would have been allowed )

Strange choice of song. Mainly cos, unless you are a DL fan (which I am), you won't know it much?

Not one of my DL's faves, I must admit.

I'd LOVE a DL week though....

Well if I'm being honest, the first time I heard it was when I heard Mariah Carey's version of it in 2002.

Joe Elliot from the band said he thought her version of it was very good!

Would love to hear Ruth do Billy Idol's ~ White Wedding

She has an increadable voice & I love to hear her do songs from the Rock Genre.

Iron Maiden's 'Number of the Beast' anyone?

Def Leppard really should get sung on Saturday, I think Ruth would certanly do them justice.

Why don't you stop to think things through before you post?

"White wedding" is a song that suits a low range, something that's Ruth isn't great singing it's also more or less on one level so there's no opportunity for vocal theatrics.
It would be great if she did it mind you as she'd be in the bottom two again!

Many of these songs are a little obscure. Songs which are well known always attract more attention. She needs to do a big Queen number, IMO.
