If you score low you are rubbish, disaster and waste of space.

If you score high it's because you had an unfair dance background, and you clearly have been overmarked and over-rated. So there.

Please be fair and objective about this.

Score the celebs out of 10 for smugness, the top two to smug-off.

We could dance together Sid - and make sweet music!

If you smile and enjoy yourself - you are smug.

If you look serious - you are too cold and competitive.

If you have a good partnership - you must be having an affair.

If you get upset - you must be a self centred, spoilt brat not used to failure.

If you used to go to a toddler group where you used to sing 'there's a worm at the bottom of the garden' and wiggle around a bit - then that gives you a dance background and therefore an unfair advantage.

If you were in a pop group, know Prince Charles, dated a hollywood star, were in Eastenders......then you really don't deserve to win at all!

Tom isn't smug- he was a bit worried this week. I wish people would give him a break- he's a great dancer, and I think Camilla could win this

Best offer I've had all night

I must admit, I've been guilty of bandying around the word 'smug' - namely at Tom. But I'm inclined to let him off as I've seen signs of this is most of the celebrities this year (not Rachel). I suppose if I was consistently receiving scores above 30, I'd be pretty pleased with myself too!

And that Quickstep Tom did was the first dance that I thought "wow" to- he was brilliant

I'm just wondering how this word has become so popular this year

We could smugly dance the 'char char char'

I know what you mean about Tom. I actually liked his first week (?) jive! It was bouncy and fun. I didn't like his paso face but Camilla should have told him how silly it looked. But I don't have anything against him - it was nice seeing him at the top last night as opposed to Austin.

I agree with you the following is what I said in thread about Tom being smug.

I used to think those facial expression that Tom puts on was part of his character as smug individual. However if you pay attention to the way he handles himself. He is not smug at all, it’s just an expression of his face.

What is really interesting is that because of Austin ability to make people laugh it actually conceals the air of arrogance and smugness he has.

If you pay attention to the way Austin and Erin take criticism and marks from the judges, it shows you who is really smug in this competition.

Tom and Camilla are quite an breath of fresh air in the way they deal with judges comments and marks. They are always happy with their scores and are very humble when they get great marks.

Only if you promise to wear one of those really short spangly outfits

OK I have to confess to thawing to Tom a little I don't think Camilla helps his cause though - I've always found her a bit frosty. I've come to the conclusion that he's not such a bad guy after all and has not been the only celebrity to be overmarked over the course of the series. For example, as much as I like Austin, his Rhumba was not worthy of 8s.

We could use one of the following for a bit of variety which all mean the same as smug:

complacent, conceited, holier-than-thou, priggish, self-opinionated, self-righteous, self-satisfied, superior.

It's because Obama said,

"Everything is possible,"
"Yes, we can."

After that there was no holding back the tidal wave of smug.

Where did you find such a perfect description of the forum?

I could tell you but I don't want to come across as at all self satisfied.

Yeah, but not yellow tassles - Christine looked like big bird tonight?!

I hope you won't be wearing an Ian Waite stylee catsuit slashed to the waist - I was transfixed by his tanned moobs everytime they cut to Tess. He was always in the background!

I'm feeling a bit depressed tonight - why am I still posting on this nasty thread? (Cos all me friends are here - that's why!)

If Rachel goes I won't know who to support.

No wonder Rachel was emotional. Mama is too.

I really don't get the Rachel dislike...I should, since she's young and beautiful and a good dancer.

She should not have been bottom. I loved her routine and she is so good with Vincent.

Hear Hear!

BTW - where has Bonnie1 gone to? Trip trapping back under her bridge?

Still, it's brought out a lot of Rachel support - you won't keep me away from my telephone next Saturday night!

Yes i remember reading her apparantely saying to an air stewerdess "do you know who i am" Also remember Simon Amstall sayting she was the most boring and humourless person he had ever interviewed. She is just dull and cannot conect with the public that is her downfall i think. Dont know if i would class her as smug though.

To be fair to all,
