Can someone please explain why Heather is always in the dance-off every week

Why are people not voting for her like they are with John

And finally what is the people don't like about her to keep her in the dance-off every week

Well, I guess she can longer be voted in to the Dance Off .

I guess her and Brian were not receiving many votes unlike the other couple's.

And on most occassions, Heather & Brian were closer to the bottom of the leader board than the top, so it was usually expected.

A shame as she sounded like a very likeable person, I would have liked her to stay longer.

Its sad that she was always in the bottom two she came across really well and likeable and Brian was such a sweet heart.

John Barnes was reguarly in the dance off last year.

I think IF the judges didn't have the final say now she probably would've gone when she was against Don

I think people may not have warmed to her, which is a shame but understandable from two angles.

Firstly I have found her quite closed, as a person. That could be down to nerves granted, but she seems to be holding back. She may not be of course, but it is the impression she gives, and I also got the impression that she wasn't bonding with Brian...again, could be down to nerves, but impressions are all we really have to go on.

Secondly, from being in the bottom two the first time her confidence has been knocked and that has made her more nervous, and more self controlled, which is obviously understandable.

I felt the same about Gary Rhodes and Jesse Wallace, there was a certain physical tension about them. Obviously from nerves, but it comes across as either trying too hard, or too emotionally controlled.

If that makes sense.

Well they are absolute hypocrites saying those two shouldn't have been in the dance off. They've slated Heather virtually every week.

And wasn't Craig heard to say 'she's gone as far as she can go' in the backstage pieces just before the result.

Yeah and he backtracked when he said it in front of an audience so he is partly to blame aswell

I know, but why they say now, and it's too late now, never gave her an every second chance, and her mom sat in the audience, and her son luckly not in the audience this time, very cruel,

Surviving three Dance Off's is a second chance IMO.

Family and friends will obviously be there supporting a celebrity, and they should expect a bit of negativity if the celebrity perhaps isn't as good as usual.

Just because somebody's Mom is in the audience, it doesn't mean the Judges' are going to easy on them.

That depends on who it is. If it is one of their favourites they say it 'wasn't really your dance.'

Or even worse admit that their footwork was incorrect throughout the entire dance and then award them four 9s.

From a dancing perspective, Brian Fortuna choreographed a very good tango. And Heather and Brian danced it very well.
What Brian Fortuna did not do is choose proper tango music to go with the performance. Therefore the dance lost its essential tango character. Had Brain had the good sense to choose proper tango music then perhaps Heather would not have been in the dance-offs at all.

I think that's a very fair point.

HAd she never been in the dance-off, this might have been the case, but really, she was odds on to be bottom two this week.

I understand taht she suffered terribly from nerves, but I think that gave the impression she was miserable and not enjoying the show, the dances or her partnership. Whether or not that is true is imaterial, it is the impression that counted. Not many of the Saturday audience watch ITT or debate in the great detail that we do...

TBH, I think it was the right week for her to go. If she could not begin to conquer her nerves, express emotion and the very basic thing she was still struggling with (like closing her feet) then she was never really a true contender.

He did say that by which he meant he believed she had danced as well as she could, however he didn't think John Sargent was any better!!! I am also sure he would have been quite happy to be proved wrong had she stayed and improved.

I feel sorry for her. There are many people who vote for big, funny personalities rather than dancing. Not saying Heather was a great dancer but she was better than some.

Still I expect in some respects it is a relief for her to be out now. I would have liked her to be in another week.

I think the programme will have done her a lot of good. She had a good time even though it was nerve wracking and tiring and she showed her good character and manners, etc.

Heather - a very likeable person!

I liked her as well, but I also think she had gone as far as she could. She always had a porblem with her legs and feet - and her nerves.

The latter made her 'shut down' when she performed and took the spark out of each dance. Much as I loved her humour and character, she wasn't going to get any better.

John should have gone before her though, and we all know that. He may be a sweetie, but he can't dance and it is a dance competition after all.

Heather seemed like a very nice person, but she just wasn't bringing that on to the dance floor and for me that was what was lacking in her performances on saturday. She always looked panicked while dancing, and, as someone has said already, miserable doing it, so...

I liked Heather but I think that perhaps it was her turn to leave. Taking away John, she probably would have been in the dance off with Jodie or Christine...both of whom seem to win the judges praise/votes...howEVER they dance.

I did notice that she seemed really tense in many of her dances, I'll miss her though, she seems really jolly.....when she isn't dancing

Heather tried her best, but she's been one of the weakest dancers for a few weeks. Her personality took a little time to warm up, too. She got there in the end... but people's allegiances had probably already been set by then.

I agree re the impression given over.
One thing that always popped into my mind when Heather was interviewed or was dancing is that her husband has not been seen or heard since her first or second performance - although she always mentions her son.
I was not impressed by him when he did comment though - he was far too vociferous in his condemnation of the judges so early in the competition imo - I feel that could only have compounded her nervousness....as in "My God, what will he say next!"

I liked her tango but thought the music choice let it down....which is such a shame.

Heather is a lovely, kind, warm person but she clearly lacked confidence and had a poor self esteem of her dancing. It must have been difficult to pick yourself up after being in the dance off week after week, plus she has had to suffer some very cruel comments from the Judges. She looked uncomfortable on the dance floor and sometimes she actually looked terrified and that doesn’t inspire people to vote. John is clearly not as good technically as Heather…but at least he seems to enjoy the dancing.
