Does (or has) anyone used the Sony HTK-215 with the Playstation 2 ?

I haven't been able to find any reviews on the HTK-215 yet, I have heard that it is great for DVD from various newsgroups, and I'm wondering if anyone has used it for gaming, ie. with the Playstation 2.

I have been looking for a good and cheap'ish home theatre solution, but the ones I have looked at haven't been that good for gaming (ie. unable to reporoduce explosions etc).

I would presume it would work with the Playstation 2 fine though it just has optical links. It does have a specific sound field for games which sounds good. We have the Playstation 1 and it works well with that. As both products are Sony they should be compatible with each other but you would have to check this.

Sony have released a 'top spec' amp which is supposed to be ideal for Playstation 2/gamers. It is the SAPSD5 home cinema system and is on the Sony website. I would imagine it is a lot more expensive than the HTK 215 though.
