kate has such style and elegance

i read recently her last album came out same time as madonnas confessions - now i love madge but there she was with tons of publicity, radio, press etc and kate does one radio interview, one single video and a newspaer interview and retreats back into bush land.

farking marvellous
and the album still sold.....

I'm so glad there's an appreciation thread for Kate Bush, she's (IMO) one of the best female artists of all time.

Some of my favourite work is The Ninth Wave:

Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKFy5PuNBUY

Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyjIx...eature=related

Part 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-jfS...eature=related

Enjoy. (Sorry if they've already been posted. )

While I'm at it, might as well post another Kate YouTube!

They cut it before the end unfortunately.”

The one I posted earlier is the full version-with a glimpse of Billy Idol. Here it is again...

I love Kate Bush.

She's my favourite female solo artist of all time.

Nothing inspires my own creativity like a Kate Bush song.

My all time favourites are In Search of Peter Pan and Under the Ivy. The former is one of the most haunting songs I've ever heard. The latter makes me cry.

The fact I'll probably never get to see Kate perform live breaks my heart.

Big fan of Kate here, and I have to say I really like the Gregorian version of RUTH. For those who are interested, the Gregorian Monks cover absolute loads of "pop" songs , some of which work whilst others are not so good (their version of Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" is awesome imo)

Here's another version of "Running....." which I adore.....

It's not just in the UK that Kate is appreciated judging from that performance.

Two of the most beautiful bits of music of all time....

And Dream of Sheep

Oh, I'll wake up
To any sound of engines,
Ev'ry gull a seeking craft.

I can't keep my eyes open--
Wish I had my radio.

Hello Earth

All you sailors,
("Get out of the waves! Get out of the water!")
All life-savers,
("Get out of the waves! Get out of the water!")
All you cruisers,
("Get out of the waves! Get out of the water!")
All you fishermen,
Head for home.

Blows me away. Every time. Even after all these years.
